@monstercritic1 based on what metric? Netlify is just a few clicks, has a global CND built in, and is trusted. What's the compelling reason to pay you for similar functionality? Just saying "ease of use" isn't enough is it?
Netlify might be easy for experienced users, sure. But for an inexperienced visitor, there’s no clear way to get started with a static page or even begin using the service... They CTAs use terms like "deploy," while our users typically think of it as "upload". Overall, "Connect everything. Build anything." and "One-click hosting solution for your static website" convey very different ideas.
Not everyone needs to learn professional coding skills, especially with recent advancements in AI; some people just want to share a simple static page and move on, without worrying about "deploying" anything.
So yes, "ease of use" was the term used intentionally.
Congrats @andrianv on the launch of Static.app! Excited about the drag-and-drop simplicity and built-in SSL certificates. Great to see forms and analytics included. Ideal for anyone wanting easy website hosting.
Huge congrats to the Static.app team on today's launch! I just dragged & dropped my test site and... voilà! Up in seconds. Seriously, the simplicity is refreshing. Quick question: Are there plans to integrate any CMS (like WordPress) for those who want to keep editing their static site's content without diving into code?
I'm probably not the target audience for this product but I didn't understand where the actual web pages come from. Only from Slides? Or is it just an example?
