Organize and manage your social media, messengers, emails, productivity apps or anything you wish from one place on a single screen. Navigate through Web efficiently. Stack by categories or projects and break free form old-fashioned tabs.
Looks interesting but, the website presents a button labelled "Linux" which, when clicked, announces the impending release of a Windows version. Confusing.
Will there be a Linux version, if so, when?
Hm, the Windows version is unfortunately excruciatingly slow for me. I tried adding Gmail and the time lag of just typing in my username has put me off this product. I can't imagine what the performance would be like if I had a lot of tabs open.
A shame, because it looks really nice!
@richard_chu Hi Richard. Thanks for the feedback. We have a nasty bug that is causing the lag in typing. But it is limited to typing, so not overall performance. i.e. lagging in typing is not due to lagging in performance in general. We will be releasing a bug fix soon, so whenever you find time, please give it a second try.
I've been using Stack for a while now! Love how it keeps my main apps front and center so I always have what I need. It's also great to see them shipping things quickly. Congrats team!
I hate videos like this where they flash through screens I'm not a familiar with in a split second. Why not make the video ten times faster? It would save me time and make only slightly less sense than at the speed it is is now. Still I'll give it a go and might like it.
I don't want to come across as complaining a lot but I first tried to add Hootsuite... it's not available. Then Gmail - can't connect directly, then a second Gmail account, now it can't connect to either of them. I'm not going to bother trying with a third app at this stage.
Biscuit Browser user here. I’ve tried Station and Shift, but settled on Biscuit because I’ve got about 15 web apps open at any given time; Biscuit rarely lags and doesn’t eat up much CPU at all. Reading through the comments, I’m a bit worried about CPU usage, but I’m willing to give it a shot. Maybe you could speak to what Biscuit is doing differently in terms of CPU usage compared to what you’re doing? They’re based in Chromium as well (iirc).
One of my favourite tools! I've been using it since the beta version on my Mac. ❤️
They progress really quickly and take the feedback right into their roadmap. The sole release of Windows version says it all.
Lastly, as a founder myself, I know how tough it could be to build a startup especially in the current times. You can read about how the guys are solving this shit-storm 🌪🔥 on their latest article here: https://getstack.app/supporters
Wish you all the best guys! Just keep on rocking 💪
Good... but no help files. From what I can work out Sherlock Holmes-style, the + sign at left allows a new stack of sites, but for some reason it's bvlanked out. When I go to chat in the options menu, no chat appears. I WANT to like it because I see its potential but...
This is such an amazing product! Using Safari on my iMac feels...unoptimized since the screen is so much larger than the typical width of a webpage. Stack makes it so much easier to keep track of different websites and have them update (without having to dig through tabs to see them).
Sure - you could resize a bunch of Safari windows to replicate the same effect to a degree, but that's so cumbersome and Stack makes the whole process so elegant. Feels a lot more like iPadOS split-screen browsing (but you'd actually use it more - since you're on your computer and can be more productive).
Big props to the team - such a cool story as well! Signed up for your pro subscription!!
