Anything you want to enforce, write it down in your own words. Squire will review your code by following your specific instructions. By adding your own rules, you can standardize the way your team is coding. Set it and forget it.
Karl here, I help build Squire AI.
With the help of Squire AI, you can new standardize the way your team ships new code. Every new PR will be reviewed by Squire automatically. With your new custom rules, we will be able to flag and detect places where your rules aren't currently being followed.
Have patterns of syntax you want your team to follow? No problem. Write it down in natural language and Squire will handle it. Sometimes your linter can't handle everything, but Squire will identify anything with it's powerful AI linter.
Would love your support! Feel free to message us if you'd like to try it! Set up is really easy and free to get started. Need more time to test things out, no problem. Send us a message at support@squire.ai and we can help you with that.
Impressive concept! How does Squire handle unique coding styles among team members, and can it integrate with existing development tools? Excited to see how this can streamline coding standards!
Squire AI sounds like a game-changer for code consistency! ๐ As someone who's spent way too many hours in code reviews nitpicking syntax, this could be a real time-saver. Love that you can set custom rules in plain English - no more debates about style guides! Curious though, how does it handle more complex patterns or team-specific conventions? Also, any plans to integrate with popular CI/CD pipelines?
@_ivan1 Thanks Ivan! We have actually added the ability to restrict your rules based on file pattern. For example, want your rule to only apply to TSX files? No problem. Want a rule to apply to a folder? That works too :) We run directly in your GitHub PRs but we are looking at how CI/CD setups influence this flow. If you want to give things a test, I'd love to get your feedback
Hey there! ๐ Congrats on the launch of AI Linter! This tool looks super helpful for customizing code reviews. How do you guys plan to use it to streamline your development process? I'm excited to see how this can help teams write more consistent, high-quality code! ๐
@ihuzaifashoukat Thanks so much! That's the beauty of Squire. You get to choose how your team works. We always automatically review your PRs based on Security, Syntax and Performance best practices. But you can write rules you like based on your own Best Practices. For example, if you have React devs and you want your team to avoid useState? That's a simple rule with a single sentence in natural language.
very very nice. i think there are other alternatives in the market, have you investigated that? will it be free for FOSS? whats the state of the product?
@maxcompe You are correct Max! Lots of people looking to empower devs to use AI for code review. We stand out by using complex AI agents to handle everything exactly like a team of devs would. But to answer your question, yes, we are working on something new for the OSS community. Stay tuned!
