@johnalxndr Google Play Music > Spotify > ..... Apple Music

@johnalxndr I've thought so for years, and for projects like this for sure. But I don't like their curation as much as Apple Music's. I don't always want to "DISCOVER" stuff I've never heard before. In fact, I usually don't. Spotify is so focused on finding me the latest hipster-friendly beats that I never get to hear Otis Redding, or Johnny Cash, or the Beastie Boys, or…
Zach Dubos
@johnalxndr apple's curation is second to none.

@johnalxndr @cacarr what do you prefer about google play music above Spotify?

Apparently I listened to over 33 days of music in 2017 on Spotify. 😳 Here's a link to my top 100 most loved songs, generated by Spotify's data science team. Don't judge me too much.

@rrhoover I'm sad... it's saying it doesn't have enough data on me. But I've listened to Spotify almost every day for the last 5 years :cryingbaby:

@rrhoover @michael_nakayama well that's interesting. A bug?

@rrhoover @megaroeny looks like it. After logging in 3-4 times it ended up working 🤗. I’ve got 42 days this year.

@rrhoover @megaroeny @michael_nakayama 66K minutes for me. Anyone better ? :D

@rrhoover @megaroeny @michael_nakayama @joseph_ayoub 120k minutes for me = 83~ days!

One damn project. Love how Spotify is always spot-on with their Typography.

Those little details are why I love Spotify. They're always spot on with those interesting experiments.

Thanks Spotify team. Love all the little side projects like these! Perfect way to end the year 🎄

Awesome! Love the page, interesting statistics and great playlists I'll be listening to in 2018. However, I noticed Last.fm gives different data and the top 5 is off. Did some digging and figured out the data collected is from Jan 1st to Nov 1st. November is missing completely from this list! So kinda bummed out by that.

@wraldpyk lame!

I like Spotify just fine but I'm a Deezer HiFi listener, really happy with the quality and selection.

I love the stuff the Spotify team comes out with, this is awesome!

Wow this is really cool. I use Google Music, and I could of course go sort my songs by most plays... But having it curated for me and for the current/past year is awesome! Maybe Google will pick up on this 😉
Donté Ledbetter
What a great web experience! It's a cool use of data.

This is one of the coolest things Spotify does each year. I look forward to each December to see what they’ve cooked up with my listening data!

Side projects are neat, but as for the core functionality, still can't figure out what there is to recommend it over Google Play Music -- especially with YouTube Red thrown in.
Wells Johnston
I remember this lol
Jennifer Miller

Would love if I could select what stats I wanted to be on the downloadable card

Pros:

Loved being able to guess my top artist, song, and genre

Cons:

None

Still waiting for Spotify to launch in India! *Sigh* Meanwhile. the product looks neat. Good work on the design as always. Looks at Tobias. Wonder how much of it was his influence?

I love this despite the fact I don't feel like my top songs or artists are ever particularly accurate (my wife's are even more bizarre and inaccurate)
