I'm thrilled to be able to share our smart company cards today. They've been a long time in the making, and these latest improvements (extra control for finance teams and more customizable individual rules) help to make Spendesk quite unique in this space (at least, we like to think so).
We're here all day to answer your questions, so please shoot!
As a CEO of remote company, this has saved us tons of time, simplified life for our team, and put our expenses under control. A game changer.
I assume from your website that you are US based and intended for US corporations? Being an Australian company you are not suitable I take it? Can think of some other great use cases but again need it for Australia.

We're so excited to be fully unveiling our super-smart company cards today! I'm the Product Manager in the team that's been building and improving these cards. We know that standard corporate cards are light years behind the great options we have in our personal lives, and so our goal is to make company spending just as easy and flexible.
In practice, this means:
- Cards with individually-set limits, so every employee can have one with no risk
- The ability to set special rules about what each card can purchase (food, gas, and more), or what days the cards work on (no weekends, for example)
- Real-time visibility over all spending for finance teams. They can track every card in Spendesk.
- Easy receipt-capture with the mobile app (no need to stuff your wallet with receipts!)
- And automated accounting for finance, so every payment (and receipt) is sent straight to your accounting tools.
And other than all the good stuff, they work exactly like a normal corporate card. So they're easy to use too.

@adridder Hey Alexander, good question. I of course can't speak for Divvy, so I'll highlight some of the things that make our new cards different from others we've seen on the market.
As an overall theme, we see a lot of spend management tools (including smart cards) that are built for regular employees first, and might just happen to make finance teams' work a little easier. We're very intentionally working to make finance teams' lives easier, in ways that also benefit the rest of the company. So for these cards, that means:
- Individual limits and controls (no alcohol, no petrol, no spending on the weekends - your choice) set by financial controllers or managers.
- The ability to temporarily block individual cards automatically if users don't provide their receipts or follow the rules
- Complete payment history for each user, team, and supplier. So if you want to know how much the office manager spent on Amazon in March, it takes seconds
- Automatic expense categorization
- Direct integrations with key accounting tools, so most of the time financial controllers barely have to lift a finger to close the books
That's not to say that other employees don't like Spendesk. They love it because they can spend company money (and not their own!) with the trust and support of their leadership. And if you're someone like me who worries about doing the wrong thing with company resources, that's very reassuring.

@mrwhatman That's a good answer Patrick. Do you realize that this kind of solution is actually sorely missing for households too? It's an ideal tool for family budgeting. While I found a few competitors in the business space I don't know of any in the personal space, and I would like to adopt such a solution for my personal household. (Everyone knows the stereotypes about couples & budgets, but helping people stay inside budget is huge)
