Spendee web app enables you to understand your finances in bigger picture. The core features are identical to the mobile app (adding transactions, analysis….), however more analytical functions will be introduced in web version in order to enable more in-depth look. Understanding your finances gets much more convenient starting today.

Several small UX/UI Bugs.

Info is not expandable E.g. I like to add the bank, the source, the reason, the transaction details, etc.

Pros:

UI is pretty great!

Cons:

Info about a transaction is not expandable!

Jakub Sechter
Hi Ahmad, thanks for the feedback. You can edit all transactions in cash wallets (with manual input). At the moment, you can't edit transactions in bank-connected wallets, but we'll make that possible soon.
Pawel Kadysz

Overall - next to Dollarbird one of the best finance manager I've used. Still not perfect. Still missing some key features (like transfers). I wish someone made a clone of Buxfer but with the modern UI that doesn't burn my eyes.

Pros:

Interface is really nice both on web and mobile. Downloading transactions from bank accounts is also nice feature and works well.

Cons:

No transfers between accounts (wallets). On web app I can't edit details for transactions downloaded from bank history.

Jakub Sechter
Hi Pawel, you'll be glad to hear that transfers are coming very soon! Most probably within the next month. Editing bank transactions in Web App is something we're already working on as well.
Johana Adámková
Hi Pawel, just to get back to you - we've just launched Transfers to Spendee. Feel free to let us know your feedback ->https://www.producthunt.com/post...
Jakub Sechter
@thanasut We had to push the transfers feature back a little bit, but it's on our roadmap soon.

Been using the iOS app for about a year, it's the best finance app I've found on the app store (I don't connect my bank account though, so I don't know about that part). Great for couples who want to share budgets/expenses. Looking forward to trying out the web app!
Jakub Sechter
@antoneliasson great, hope you enjoy it. I'm using Spendee for the same purpose with my girlfriend myself. Bank account sync isn't available in the web app yet, but you can try it out on Android or iOS.
Jakub Sechter
@antoneliasson unfortunately, we don't support banks in Korea yet, but if we receive enough requests, we'll consider implementing some banks there :)
Roemer Weerkamp
@kuba_sechter Where can I find the list of banks that you partner with?
Michal Langmajer
@roemerw hello, the list of supported banks is still growing. Currently you can find the latest one only in the ios/android app in the section where you connect your bank account. We will soon add it on our web as well.

Easy to use! Beautiful charts!

Pros:

Love it <3

Cons:

.....

Jakub Sechter
Thanks, Jan!
Farbod Saraf
Big fan of Spendee! Love what you guys are doing. I tried numerous apps in this field but none of them offers all your features in a single app.
Michal Langmajer
@farbodsaraf thank you, we're glad you like Spendee! :-) If you have any feedback in the future, let me know.
Ozkan
I was one of the first paid customers on Android and happily using, until the model has changed to subscription. I just wanted to keep my payments and incomes. And don’t know why I need to pay monthly to keep doing it.
Michal Langmajer
@ozkanaltuner thanks for your comment. Actually all the functionality of first version of Spendee is still for free. So you can continue adding your income/expenses or analyse your cashflow without paying anything. On the top of that all your records are securely synced to our cloud and you can use some advanced features such as hashtags or location tracking. ☺️ On the other hand, Premium plan of Spendee can save your time — it connects to your bank account and do all the hard work for you. All the transactions are automaticaly synced and categorized in Spendee.
Alvaro Flores

I'm using Spendee since the first version they launch, its by far the best looking finance app, the bank sync is what they need to keep up, but still needs lots of work to improve the frequency and speed to sync, plus the cons that previusly mention.

Pros:

The best UI since the first version

Cons:

No general view and reports considering all the accounts, no edit option for transactions, mark as duplicated

Jakub Sechter
Hi Alvaro, thank's for the feedback. I hope you'll be glad to hear all the cons you mention will be eliminated soon. General Overview is our next goal to meet, so stay tuned. Bank account sync is something we're always working on improving and we'll be introducing more improvements later this year and some bigger improvements next year.
Ognjen Divljak

I'm using the Spendee app for more that 4 years and it's the best app for the personal finance.

Pros:

Nice looking app that is easy to use

Cons:

There are no cons to add

Jakub Sechter
Hi Ognjen, so glad to hear that!
Yiğit Pınarbaşı
Where can I download desktop version of app? I could not find on website. 😶
Jakub Sechter
@yigitpinarbasi for now, you can only access the web version online, but we're considering creating a downloadable desktop app in the future. Thanks for letting us know you're interested in something like that.
Farbod Saraf
@yigitpinarbasi @kuba_sechter I've created a tiny Mac app for Spendee which you can keep in your deck. I previously shared it with Spendee beta testers on FB group. You can use it temporarily till the Spendee team release their own full-fledged desktop app: https://bit.ly/SpendeeMacApp

@farbodsaraf, thanks a lot!

Is Spendee secure without 2FA that they are not thinking to protect your login with extra security? Is this a right approach to plan to take extra protection of your user’s financial data on a personal finance app? They have replied to my review on App Store quoted; I asked about 2FA Spendee Replied like these quoted below; "Sorry to see you leave and thanks for suggestions. Just to add - over 90% of our users who connected a bank account don't even lock the app with PIN/FacelD/ TouchID and also a lot of banks we are syncing require just password and username. It would feel a bit ridiculous to be "more secure" than the banks we are connecting, wouldn't it? I understand you that some people see it differently, but we always prioritize feature development based on number of requests/complaints and suggestions and so 2FA will not come anytime soon as the demand for is simply too low. Hope this helps you understanding our approach and again, sorry to see you leave, thank you." So, for sure 2FA doesn’t mean it is more secure, it means they will be taking extra measure for your users that their credentials might be stolen, anyone on earth can download their financial data via their app / web which could also be connected to their bank account regardless of how secure the banks are, that’s totally unrelated. Would somebody enlighten me what can be the other ways for taking extra measures for users login process rather than 2FA etc? Since Spendee doesn't have one and doesn't plan to provide one which is very unusual for a fintech app. Have you ever seen any fintech app that is without 2FA? Spendee says they are not planning to add additional security for logins just because Spendee users don't even care about securing their data with Face ID/Touch ID etc and there is a low demand there and Spendee developers put their efford on hype-driven NFT just because there is a demand there? Interesting case for product market fit, so it means they say good bye to 3-year long subscripted users like me to use the app for it’s core features that made it and welcome to the ones that demands NFT and doesn’t care about security at all. Shall I keep trusting Spendee my financial data or shall I find another app that is more secure? p.s; Spendee is on Google Cloud and I know the data security on Google Cloud is secure, but my point is not about their infrastructure, it's about high potential risks of data leaks if somehow your Spendee password is stolen, without additional security, anyone can download your whole data like your integrated bank account transactions to Spendee even if your bank is more secure.

I have been using spendee for a long time. A desktop webapp is a good addition! Thanks team.
Jakub Sechter
@iamrahulkapoor glad to hear that! Hope you enjoy.
Bikram Agarwal
Looks very nice and polished. And I love that it is cross-platform. Sadly I'm already invested in Money Lover, for which I paid a one time premium unlock price. Now I'm quite hesitant to join another app and pay monthly subscription for it.
Jakub Sechter
@vicky_buddie Money Lover is a pretty good app that I personally like. I believe both apps have their own appeal. Spendee is free but if you want to try out paid features, you can try our free trial and see. You can import your data from Money Lover to Spendee.
Ktryn Dchrs
I love Mint but I think it is bloated and complex for nothing… I'l give a try to your solution that seems interesting…!
Michal Langmajer
@katrynvonfelsen Thank you! The simplicity and ease of use are our key principles. Let me know if you have any feedback in the future. :-)
Galen Han
Looks good. Would like to migrate from MoneyLover, since they've been really bad at fixing critical bugs lately. Too bad there is no easy way to import data.
Michal Langmajer
@mastergalen glad you like Spendee 😊. I've got a good news for you! There is very easy way how to import your data in our web app. First you need to export them from Money Lover (Settings->Export CSV). Then simply open your Spendee wallet and in the top right corner you can see the button "import". Click on it and follow the instructions. It shouldn't take more than couple minutes. If you have any trouble with it, let me know. I'll be happy to help you.
Galen Han
@michallangmajer Great to hear that the feature already exists. When I imported the csv it sadly resulted in an error. Now when I go into the app I get a sync error 😞
Michal Langmajer
@mastergalen Hello, we're looking at it but we can't reproduce this issue. Could you please send us email with more details on hello@spendee.com? We would really like to help you.
Anton Bramsen
I'm still having problems with one of my accounts showing a different amount from the iOS app. I have to many transactions in Spendee to go over each one to see if something is out of order. But are you aware of this bug?
Jakub Sechter
@anton_bramsen, thanks for letting us know. Can you please reach out directly to our support with your email address, so we can address the issue? Thanks!

Hello, Product Hunt family, Thank you Robleh for the Hunt! 🎉🎉🎉 Spendee has been helping people get their finances under control since 2013. It started as a mobile app and became pretty big pretty quickly thanks to its award-winning user experience, sleek design and easy to understand overviews. We’ve got more than 2M downloads now and counting.🌍 This year, we introduced a new feature that allows you to connect all your bank accounts to Spendee. Your transactions can now be added and categorized automatically thanks to bank sync. Automatization rocks! After that, a web app remained the top requested feature and another milestone that we aimed to reach in order to fulfill the wishes of our users. 💻 Spendee’s new web app enables you to understand your finances in a bigger picture (bigger screens), so you can take a more detailed look at where your money goes: - Detailed filtering of transactions - Import of transactions from other sources (excel sheet, other app) - Bulk editing coming soon Analysing your finances will get much more convenient starting today. Your finances are now available anytime, anywhere and on any device. As this is still in beta - not all features are available yet - however, we’re working hard to bring them to you as soon as possible. So stay tuned. Even though we did a lot of beta testing already, there still may be bugs, so please let us know about them, so we can fix them quickly. Follow us on Facebook and get a chance to win a year-long subscription of Spendee Premium :) I am looking forward to hearing what you think about Spendee beta web app in general and I will be happy to answer your questions! 🤗

@mrahmadawais, thanks for the feedback. You can edit all transactions in cash wallets (with manual input). At the moment, you can't edit transactions in bank-connected wallets, but we'll make that possible soon. And thanks for the link. We'll have a look at that problem as well.
