SpeedVitals RUM helps you monitor Real-User Performance (Core Web Vitals) and Web Analytics. Unlike Google Analytics, it is a privacy-first alternative that doesn't use cookies.
The SpeedVitals team is so excited to show you our new product: RUM (Real-User Monitoring)
⚡ SpeedVitals RUM combines web performance monitoring with web analytics.
Have you ever wondered why despite scoring 90+ on Lighthouse or PageSpeed Insights, your website is failing the Core Web Vitals?
Well, Lighthouse Test is a synthetic test done under certain fixed conditions, but real-users are different. Real-users can be on any device, from any geographical location and have different internet connectivity. Moreover, real-users can visit several pages on your website (that you might not be testing) but most importantly, they interact with your website!
A lighthouse test doesn’t measure how fast your website responds when a button is clicked or when a form is submitted. This is where Real-user Monitoring (RUM) helps you by measuring real-user interactions.
Why ⚡ SpeedVitals RUM is different:
1. Privacy-focused
We do not use cookies or any personally identifying information (PII). For the same reason, we cannot track unique users. Learn more about our commitment to privacy here on our docs.
2. Powered by extensive data
Just like our Website Speed Test, we also store a request Waterfall for every page visit. This helps us track different resources and 3rd-Parties that might be slowing down your website.
3. Powerful Web Analytics
Web Performance has a direct co-relation with metrics such as Bounce Rate, Conversion Rates, Cart Abandonment rate, etc. Since most RUM tools don't track Web Analytics, it is hard to co-relate the web performance data with that of user analytics.
4. Performance Audits
Most RUM Tools flood you with a ton of data points and graphs that can be very overwhelming. It is common to get lost amidst that data and not know where to start. SpeedVitals RUM solves this problem with the help of performance audits. Now you can priortize what matters the most!
5. Compare competitors real user performance
You can add all your competitors to our RUM dashboard to see where you stand. The competitors real-user data is obtained using Chrome's User Experience (CrUX) API.
6. Ready to be integrated with your favorite platform and CMS
SpeedVitals RUM provides easy integration steps with WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, and Shopify using plugins. We also support Google Tag Manager. If you have a Single-Page App (SPA) built on React, Svelte, or Vue, there's no reason to worry as SpeedVitals RUM supports SPA too!
If you own a small website with less than 5K visits/month, you can use SpeedVitals RUM for absolutely free. We are also offering an exclusive 30% Discount for Product Hunt users. This discount is valid for a week.
@kashishkumawat@alicanuzunn Thank you so much! That means a lot. If you have any questions or need help with the migration, feel free to reach out. All the best!
@alicanuzunn Thank you so much for such a positive response! Do let us know if you find any features are missing in our Analytics, and we will try to implement them at the earliest!
@kashishkumawat@michellediao Thank you! Glad we could help clarify the difference. Let us know how it goes if you try it out, and feel free to reach out if you have any more questions!
@kraten@__tosh Yes, going beyond synthetic monitoring was the biggest step for our platform. We are excited to see how RUM helps our users pass Core Web Vitals and improve the UX.
@myselfkushal Hey, Kushal! Thanks for the feedback! But guess what? Our free plan isn't a free trial. It is a forever Free plan! We want to ensure that Web Performance remains accessible to all!
I think the name does not match the features anymore. As it now does so much more than Speed vitals. Time for a rebrand? Congrats for creating an even more comprehensive solution than what it started out as probably? 🎉
@sentry_co Haha, thank you so much! Yes, back when we started, we only planned on building a website speed testing tool. But based on user feedback and requests, we decided to build a RUM platform too!
@igor_martinyuk Thank you for giving it a try and for the kind words! We're glad you found the tool clean and helpful for monitoring Core Web Vitals. If you have any feedback or feature requests, we'd love to hear them.
@kevin_mcdonagh1 Hey Kevin! Thank you! However, we'd recommend auditing your website whenever there's a change, as sometimes you never know what might end up degrading the performance!
@kevin_mcdonagh1 Thank you Kevin. To add to what Kashish said, in RUM, you will have access to performance audits which you can use to effectively understand what is degrading the performance.
It’s true that Lighthouse scores can look great while real visitors still have a slow experience, and your approach makes it much easier to see why. A lot of tools just throw numbers at you, but actually telling people where to start is a big help.
@timchengb Yes, exactly! We realized that Real-User Monitoring is just as important (if not more) when compared to Lighthouse Testing. When you have both the Lab Data and Real-User Data, web performance optimization becomes so much easier!
@michael_t_brown Thank you so much, Michael. Yes, we wanted to put a lot of work into the Audits section so that developers can know where to begin the optimization process!
@anthony_latona Thank you! We wanted to make it easy to access valuable insights without overwhelming the user, so it’s great to hear the design and approach resonate with you. Appreciate your support!
@ihsany Hey! We currently have 35 Test Locations, and 10 of them are available on the Free plan. Are there any specific countries/locations that you would like us to include in the future?
I’ve been running SpeedVitals against our agency portfolio for a week and I’m seeing the same gains everyone keeps mentioning here. The Core Web Vitals summary is crystal-clear—within minutes I saw that our LCP was killed by a single uncompressed hero image and fixing it bumped our mobile score from 55 to 91. What I really value is the “Opportunity Impact” column: instead of a generic list, it tells me which audits move the needle most for real users. One wish: an API so we can wire the test into our CI and fail a build if CLS regresses. Otherwise, solid upgrade from Lighthouse alone.....
@cruise_chen Yes, the hero section is crucial for optimizing LCP. Prioritizing the LCP element while Lazy loading below-the-fold images makes a lot of difference.
Yes, we do have an API, but it is only available on Pro Plan and above. But we will add a better CI/CD integration on our roadmap!
@cruise_chen Thanks for sharing your experience! We're thrilled SpeedVitals helped you identify and fix real bottlenecks so quickly. RUM is another step towards identifying these issues.
No way, this is exactly what I’ve needed! My blog always gets dinged for slow load times—if SpeedVitals can really make sites lightning fast, count me in. How does it handle image-heavy pages?
@joey_zhu_seopage_ai Image-heavy pages often have slow speeds if they're not optimized well. We recommend compressing the images, using a modern format (AVIF, WebP), preloading the hero/LCP image, and lazy loading all the below the fold images.
