Hack is a typeface that is designed for souce code text. It is a derivative of the Bitstream Vera Sans Mono and DejaVu Sans Mono lineage. Free, open source. MIT license. Open to contributions from anyone. Drop by our Github repository and weigh in.

Hack includes monospaced regular, bold, oblique, and bold oblique sets to cover all of your syntax highlighting needs.

To me it looks almost identical to Menlo, except the letter "i" and the "0" being different, and larger line spacing.

I also find it good for copywriting (not just coding) because it's a bit softer than normal "coding" fonts.

Having a little trouble getting on board with the zero. Interestingly generous line-spacing, compared to other fonts in its family!
