I'd like to give you a pro tip (coming from someone who is currently working on designing the world's best gamified app at the moment): re-name your points to anything but points.
See "points" are really generic and only indicate a counter to people (something that has a number value added to it). But games do this differently. Game devs are all about giving experience to users and that is more often than not is about making users excited. You'd like to have a feel of currency in the game, so users will feel privileged by earning them one by one.
We use multiple currencies in our game (that we also launched today, called ArcAngels - find it on my profile if you curious): - Raw Feathers (buy for real life cash and spend it on books only) - Pure Feathers (earn by submitting feedbacks and spend it on your profile and books) - Magic Feathers (earn it on quests and achieving big things + spend it on valuable items) - XP (literal experience points that players earn by interacting with other user's content) - Items (also part of currencies, since some of them are displayable for other users to see what they've earned) - Stickers (these act like visual currencies where the content - an image that's created by the story they've read and claimed - but also the amount of stickers will act like points to show how well they've done in reading various content)
I love the idea of what you are doing and I'm not saying that you have to go as overkill as I did with mine, but a little re-naming your points can take you much further along in earning user appreciation.
Feel free to check out my app (find it on my profile) and also to reach out if you'd like to chat about currencies and user experience. (I could also take some guidance on mobile UI haha)
Keep up the good work because I truly believe that there is a genuine need in the space you're exploring. Workers definitely need more smile moments and motivation in their work life, that's for sure. Gen Z is going to be super bored in work if things stay as they are and they shouldn't...
