Hi Product Hunters, I’m Domnic Francis, a graduate IT engineer from India. I’ve been developing iPhone apps since 2012. I’ve worked in Silicon Valley at Apple offices as an iOS Technology Lead for 6 years. In 2013, I created a hobby calculator app called Solutionist, inspired by the very first computer program I wrote in 7th grade. Based on customer feedback and requests, I always wanted to work on it full-time and realize the full potential of its core idea. And 2 years back, I expanded the idea and set out to make a truly modern calculator. One that breaks the blueprint of hardware calculators and takes advantage of all modern smartphone features. To do this, I researched all the different types of calculators out there and all the popular ways people do math. I’ve read customer requests for many existing calculator apps and took learnings from my own app. And now I’m releasing Solutionist 2 to the world. It’s a product of rigorous prototyping to arrive at an ideal user experience for a mobile-first app like this. We are just getting started. We aim to build a truly modern calculator and user input will be an integral part of it. Thanks, Domnic Francis
