Subscription management & event tracking for privacy advocates. Get valuable subscription and user insights from your mobile application and act faster upon your product's revenue change.
Hi there!
I'm Yagiz Nizipli, the founder and the lead engineer of Socketkit. I've been working on Socketkit for the past 6 months to create a one-stop-shop for mobile application developers and companies. Our initial release is our Subscription Management including AppStore Connect integration to provide easy to use, highly performant and relevant analytics to increase your revenue. If you like the product and want to follow the changes on the product, please leave a comment.
Any comments and suggestions are highly appreciated.
Stay safe!
Yagiz Nizipli
Running subscription based mobile apps and forecasting cash flow is hard. Socketkit looks like a solid product. Im very excited to test it as soon as possible. Awesome work!
@baymucuk Hi Melih! Thanks for the feedback. If you have any questions or comments about the product, please send an email to hello@socketkit.com. We'd love to talk!
@giri Thanks for the feedback. The goal of Socketkit was to provide privacy and security oriented tools to support application developers without impacting the revenue analysis flow. This is our first of many launches towards it, and appreciate the feedback!
It seems like a RevenueCat alternative but I couldn't find any kind of comparison on the website or social media. Can you do a quick comparison, or tell the difference if you think they're unrelated? @anonrig
@berkanteber RevenueCat is definitely an indirect competitor, but revenuecat uses their own sdk (which we will also release in the upcoming months) but our goal is to provide a one-stop-shop for developers which incorporates what values most for mobile application developers including revenue analysis (directly integrating with appstore without the use of any SDK), review management (revenuecat doesn't allow this) and behavior analysis (where revenuecat doesn't plan to work on). I hope this suits your expectations. If you have any other questions, feel free to do so. I'll be happy to answer them!
I'm not experienced in the mobile app development area but as a tight follower of ProductHunt, that's one of the best looking real (not a UI/UX design template or library) analytical dashboard I have ever seen. Congrats on the launch!
@mehmetalicode Wow. What an honor! I've been using these old-school dashboards for the past 5-6 years and wanted to make a product where I can "make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler". Thanks for the feedback!
Is there not a free tier, i see there is a free trial but you still have to enter card details. I just want to try the product without having to add a card.
@andrew_reed2 Thank you for the feedback! There is a 14 day free trial period on Socketkit. Unfortunately, this is required due to validating and authenticating real users from bots to remove any attempt to misuse and overwhelm our product. I know that is this will be important for some users but security is our number one priority on Socketkit.
@anonrig slightly disagree, there is plenty of other ways to distinguish between bot and real users without requesting card information. Surely when a user provides the credentials to their appstore/integration, this should be enough right?
@andrew_reed2 There's currently 2 different integration types on Socketkit. One of them is AppStore integration where you enter your access token, which is directly linked to a vendor id. We don't make this field unique since application wise it is not possible (there are certain edge cases). Even though your solution works for AppStore integration, it's not possible for review management. Since we don't have any uniqueness or validation on this integration, any one can track any reviews on AppStore. Therefore, it is not possible to understand if the account is fraud or not. I hope this clarify certain things.
@andrew_reed2 There are certain methodologies to prevent abuse and fraud, and I would be happy to research and learn from those, but since this is a one-man-product, this was the best solution I came up with. If I raise 10m+ (like AppAnnie or any other solution on the market), I would be happy to allocate a resource to look into and open-source possible solutions.
