I love this feature: "When your friends are present in a Group Chat, we show their name at the bottom of the Chat. Simply tap their name to start a 1:1 Chat, and then easily return to the Group in one swipe! We call this Quick Chat, and it’s the fastest way to keep the conversation going with one friend without spamming the entire Group."

I heard you can make stickers from your snaps. Does anyone know how? And is that for groups only or normal chats too?
Haven´t done the update yet but it seems like snapchat needed an urgent update of its app all because of Instagram story and now LIVE.
This is why I've been more interested in Instagram's Snap features. Sending out individual snaps is so annoying compared to Insta where it hits your entire follower base.
@jensen2k Don't find myself habitually going to SnapChat Stories to check up on my friends. Instagram puts the feed right in your face and still uses the horizontal bottom navigation to make it easy.
@dandigangi I see what you mean. I do think that's something Instagram had to do to force the feature a bit. I'm checking Stories multiple times a day, so I guess it boils down to habit and what your network are doing. For Instagram, I might not even check those things when looking at my feed
@jensen2k I'd say Snap does a better job at helping me find my friends stories but that could be because I follow an obscene amount of Instagram accounts. Different networks, different uses, etc.
@dandigangi @jensen2k Definitely what Dan said. I don't view most of the stories on Instagram but I view everyone I want to on Snapchat bc of how easy it is.
The comparison of snapchat and Instagram is overrated really. Two different audiences. Instagram is for older people which is why it's so simple. It's also brand friendly and lots of automation of followers. Snap is not that, which is why they aren't losing any members. There's far more privacy
Very excited this feature is being worked on. Sad to see it released in a half-baked state. You can't really consider a group feature to be considered finished when a vast segment of your users are unable to be invited to, or participate in groups by platform. Hopefully there will be a follow up announcement when it's no longer in a half working, incomplete state.
@kevando_ I don't know about you but I hate when my friends use Snap to message me.
@dandigangi @kevando_ Agreed, especially if its to arrange events. Present pictures are fine though, as is the purpose for snapchat
@kevando_ Isn't this always the case when a startup builds something that a behemoth can easily integrate into their existing ecosystem? It really should be a major question when you're pitching an idea like that.
I can't wait to see what kinds of emergent use cases come about with this feature. I'm also very interested to see how well it will compete against established messaging groups - I personally have groups spanning Google Hangouts, Facebook Messenger, Slack, etc. that have proven resilient.
Wow just after Houseparty closes on 50MM this happens. Thats some tough luck.
@willjamieson93 won't affect since different audience and some parents still won't allow their teens to use due to the sex content of far too many. At least twice a week I get added by some porn person saying "let's *%:"

@shaanvp Not at the moment but I imagine its coming. I am assuming they are going to evolve the features in group chat similarly to how they evolved the 1:1 chats
