Hey fellow Product Hunters,

Thank you for checking out our new Smart Albums!

What began as a simple way to help families keep their memories organized has evolved into an AI-powered curator that transforms your entire camera roll into beautifully themed albums in just one tap. With Smart Albums, you’ll never have to sift through clutter again—your holidays, travels, and everyday moments are automatically grouped and polished for effortless sharing.

Why we built Smart Albums:

We know you capture thousands of photos each year—but most of them never see the light of day, and our camera rolls become a cluttered mess.

Manually sorting and sharing feels like a chore, so we let our AI handle the heavy lifting.

How it works:

Detects your best moments: Our algorithm finds the highlights—holiday gatherings, scenic trips, and local events—and filters out all the clutter like old receipts, paint cans from the trip to Home Depot, and countless screenshots and blurry photos.

Curates into beautiful galleries: Smart Albums will find, for example, all of your Christmas photos for the past 15 years, turn them into an album for each year and organize in a Christmas gallery for easy sharing.

One-tap sharing: Send a link via text or email to friends and loved ones. No extra apps, no hoops to jump through—just your best memories, instantly shared. Others can add to your albums for a priceless keepsake album you’ll have forever.

We’re excited to see how Smart Albums helps you rediscover forgotten photos and makes sharing with friends and family a breeze. It’s available today on iOS for all Waldo iPhone users.

Give it a spin, and let us know what you think—your feedback will help us make Smart Albums even smarter! 😊

Cheers,
The Waldo Team

@harrisonniap @rodneyrice Congrats for the launch. Something I’ve been waiting for. I’m gonna get this to go over all my photos on iPhone. Since my stint at a company which made AV devices for the consumer, we had this challenge but couldn’t solve it. The topic of sorting photos is close to my heart. Will send feedback. Good luck!
Harrison Niap

@kuldeep_kulshreshtha Thank you, we'd love your thoughts for sure!

Pavel Vavilov

Can’t wait to hear what the community thinks about this! We’ve worked hard on making album creation completely automatic - your best memories now organize themselves! 📸✨

Konstantins Kozirevs

@pavel_cocoahead You did very well, Pavel, that's for sure! I hope you treated yourself with some goodies x)

Harrison Niap

@konstantins_kozirevs He really did! Our team's champion for iOS breakthroughs. 🙌

Elemen

Congrats on the launch, Waldo Team! This sounds like a dream for anyone with a cluttered camera roll. I especially love the idea of the AI filtering out receipts and blurry shots. My question is, how much user input or fine-tuning is allowed after the AI curates an album? Can we easily add or remove photos the AI might have missed or miscategorized?

Harrison Niap

@elemen Great question — after the AI suggests the albums, you have a full view over which photos you might want to keep or declutter. Once you have fine-tuned to your liking, all you have to do is hit upload. :)

After uploading, you can always still add photos as well, or move them. Control is entirely in your hands!

Elemen

@harrisonniap Awesome, that’s exactly what I was hoping for! Thanks for the reply — looking forward to testing it out soon!

Joey Zhu

Omg, auto-sorting albums based on actual events? That’s genius tbh—no more endless scrolling to find my bday pics 😂 mad props to the Waldo team!

Harrison Niap

@joey_zhu_seopage_ai That's literally it! We're declaring war to photo clutter and saying YES to more easily sharing memories with our loved ones. 😌

Konstantins Kozirevs

Great tool, I think built-in tools that phone manufacturers provide won't go to such extent nor they have to.

I hope you achieve great success with it!

Harrison Niap

@konstantins_kozirevs Thank you so much for the feedback! We've heard from our early user tests that it's a welcome game-changer for sharing photos and memories, so we definitely hope more people get to experience this and share joy with one another. 🙌

Konstantins Kozirevs

@harrisonniap I saw in Shark Tank (US show) someone made something similar but way less advanced many years ago. They had their success. So the niche is in demand and the money is there. Good luck :)

Aishwarya Lohi

Very useful concept! What features make it stand out from Google Photos?

Harrison Niap

@aishwaryalohi One of the key reasons people love using us to set up albums for their life events is because Waldo has a proprietary facial (and numbered jersey) recognition AI that can ping people when their photos are found in these events.

I've been invited to plenty of Google Photos albums for weddings, and had to endlessly scroll to find my photo needles in the album haystack — Waldo's AI makes it such that photos of you (and loved ones) can be found in seconds!

Thank you for your comment and for asking such a great question — I'm sure it's something plenty of people would be wondering about too!

Paulina Volungeviciute

This looks incredible! I’m always running out of space because I have way too many photos, screenshots, and videos of my cat… but I never actually organize any of them.

This would save me so much time and guilt. Huge congrats on the launch! I’m excited to give this a try!

Harrison Niap

@paulinavolunge We built this literally for use cases like yours. We totally get it — hope you recover some beautiful memories and photos with your Smart Albums!

Nader Ikladious

That sounds super handy — organizing photos manually is such a chore. Love that it uses real signals to pick out the meaningful moments. Congrats on the launch! 🚀

Harrison Niap

@naderikladious Thank you! Our team worked really hard on user testing and making sure our tool suggests the memories and moments that are truly valued. Appreciate the feedback on the idea — feel free to let us know what you think once you tried it!

Lakshya Singh

Congrats on the launch team @rodneyrice @harrisonniap @pavel_cocoahead
Love the concept. Shared it with a friend working for an event company. This might be really helpful for them. Good luck!

Harrison Niap

@lakshya_singh  Thank you so much for the support! We have B2B solutions for event companies too, and we'd be more than happy to give your friend a demo on how Waldo for Events can provide value to scale their business.

Lakshya Singh

@harrisonniap Sure Harrison. I saw that on your website and shared that link already with him. Btw, it would make my day if you could support us today on our launch. Thanks.

Anh Nguyen

Just tried it out and wow - this is exactly what my chaotic camera roll needed. Genius 🎄

Harrison Niap

@ha_anh_nguyen Thank you for trying it out — so happy you found it useful!

Aj
Launching soon!

Love the idea of rediscovering moments I forgot I even captured — this feels like photo journaling made automatic.

Harrison Niap

@aj_123 That, plus you can share them with family and friends who were involved, which is a circulation of plenty of joy. Something we strive for. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the Smart Albums idea!

Suvam Deo

This is such a wholesome launch. Kudos to the team! 📸

Honestly, my camera roll is a chaotic mix of receipts, memes, blurry selfies, and actually-meaningful moments… and every time I think of organizing it, I just close the app and give up 😂

Smart Albums feels like that long-overdue friend who just steps in, quietly organizes your memories, and hands you a beautiful story of your life. The fact that it can detect themes like Christmas across years is just brilliant.

Quick question for the team:

Will there be support for collaborative albums where friends/family can contribute their photos too (like at weddings or vacations)?

Harrison Niap

@suvam_deo You get the idea!

And great question about collaborative albums — yes, absolutely.

One of the key reasons people use Waldo in the first place is to create photo albums for significant life events like weddings, vacations, birthdays. Depending on permissions you set up, people you invite can contribute their photos —yes, all 150 wedding guests that you invite by Address Book or CSV— and Waldo's proprietary facial recognition AI can even ping them when they are found in photos that were uploaded.

We've received tons of solid feedback and love from people who used Waldo for weddings, and are actively working on bettering the experience and feature set to continue making the most important event of people's lives even more memorable.

P.S. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about our Smart Albums. Appreciate it tons!

Cat A. Dabilis

I can't wait to try this to tame a photo roll that's grown too large to browse - looking forward to finding the pics that I forgot existed!

Harrison Niap

@catita2501 100% — let's get those memories sorted and shared!

Pulkit Garg
Launching soon!

Waldo Photos’ Smart Albums are a game changer love how they intelligently organize memories without any manual sorting. are you planning to add collaborative albums or shared editing features so friends and family can contribute?

Harrison Niap

@pulkitgarg Yes, we already have those! You can add friends and family as contributors, and Waldo can even help them find the photos that they are in and ping them about it! :)

Thank you for your support!

Well done on the launch. I run Bestofweb .site. We turn blogs into traffic. If you’re scaling content, let’s connect.

Chelsey Schrader

This is awesome! Exactly what I need to quickly organize my best photos and memories. 👏🏻

Clare Briggs

I'm huge on organization, especially when it comes to my camera roll so this feature is a game-changer! Automatic albums created for events, holidays, trips, etc. is a big time saver as well. Just tried it out, and it automatically created albums for all my John Mayer concerts, so count me in, ha!

Kayla Cobbley

Very cool! I'm excited to give this a try & organize my photos!
