Is it just me or... there's a lot of "inspiration" from Slides.com? 🤔
And I'm not just talking about using the revealjs.com framework (open-source?) that was created by Slides.com's founder @hakimel & cie...
... I'm talking about word for word copy of Slides.com's website.
I'd be curious to hear the explanation...?
PS: I'm not affiliated to Slides.com, but I do use & love their product.
@hakimel @danbenoni https://slides.com/ this was my first thought as I saw it. Maybe it is the same product and @hakimel is trying some other marketing approach like A/B testing? Is it allowed to use revealJS like this or is some special license needed.
@danbenoni @serglotz I'm not affiliated with this product in any way. It's disappointing to see that they word for word copied text directly from our site.
They have created a new product with ± the same design and the same branding.
Pros:Good design, because it's not your design, theft.

Slides is a great resource for founders and makers to create pitch decks for their startups. It follows a clean format and even has advanced analytics so you can see who is viewing your deck. @ryanhickmam One of our staff set up a paid account, has no way of editing the slides (its not working at all) has tried reaching out through intercom to no success as yet and there is not even any way for us to cancel our account so we aren't billed in the future. The product looks promising but as yet is not working at all for us. Please help ASAP. I would strongly recommend no one pays for this service until these issues are sorted out.
@itsjoelday Hey Joel no worries. There has been an enormous response on intercom and we're replying as quickly as possible. I'll get to it as quickly as possible.
@ryanhickmam @itsjoelday I wish I had seen this comment before I signed up. Still no way to close an account. Why close it? The product doesn't work. Edit a slide and you think you saved it, but the site doesn't want to save it, or it saves it to the wrong slide. Wasted a day trying to get this to work. I have to call my bank now to let them know that any additional charges from this company will be fraudulent.
@stevenknuff Hi Steven, I seen you were having issues. We found many people were using the product incorrectly and were getting different experiences than they expected. We can walk you through how to use the tool, we're obsessed with finding market fit for our products. I can cancel your account from our end as well.
Another stunning product! Beautifully designed slide templates, cool animations on slides, and user friendly experience! One of my favorite features is that I gave the option to switch my logo to appear in a sort of "night mode" tint on the slides that ends up looking really cool for my logo. Another major plus is that it saves me a lot of time for something that usually takes much time to put together. Thanks for making this!

I am very accustomed to Keynotes, that is free for all Apple customers. I don’t see the benefit of doing work with low processing (cpu) requirements and that doesn’t take huge amount of drive space to the cloud and pay a subscription for it. Sorry, I simply do not see the benefits using the cloud vs local and hosting where you want.
Blows my mind when you realise a name like slides hasn’t already been taken! Great work, and timely! 😊
This is fine for just getting started (and make sure you use your company colors!) but honestly once you get started you should really have your designer build you a custom pitch template as part of your initial branding package. It's a small detail but it makes a big difference.
This will definitely come in handy for startups! The function of view the deck will definitely help startup companies to quickly target their users! 🧡

Pros:Easy to use design , every startup can use it and save to much time and money
Cons:should have built it 9 month ago when i was raising
I think there should be no place on Product Hunt for projects like this.
Pros:Really hard to find any.
Cons:This is clearly a rip-off of https://slides.com/
What's worse, some of the edits get placed on other slides, erasing the content that was on there! You start thinking that you f'ed up but it is really the platform bombing out. The icing on the cake is that there is NO WAY TO CANCEL or CLOSE your account. They are more than happy to sign you up.
Pros:It gives you the hope that you can create a great deck.
Cons:It doesn't work. When you edit a slide your changes don't always get saved. Even if you click the green check.
@a1iusman that is True - i cancelled my membership 3 week ago :-) you edit and its there no export to pdf , log to another site ( pay again ) upload and got forbid you had a typo all over again :-)

Being charged repeated times, not having the option to cancel billing or delete account it's a complete fraud.
Pros:Nothing
Cons:A lot of work to do
