Hi everyone, We have been working on Simply Local for a while now. At this point it's a powerful tool with a whole slew of features needed for it to become a legitimate product in every neighborhood around the world. Read on... Simply Local connects people living around each other. The structure of the app is similar to slack but for the neighborhood-area. Here each neighborhood has different channels (topics) that one can join or leave and post in. Whatever is posted shows to others in the area who have subscribed to that channel. Try it... it works really well. In addition SL has a community badges feature where various prompts help in starting the conversation in the area. Badges help build your profile as well as connect each other for specific reasons such as hobbies, and buying and selling stuff. Simply Local is perfect to broadcast fun or important things to the local area. It works similar to an FM broadcasting system for the neighborhood except everybody in the area can broadcast. In that way it definitely moves the pointer towards decentralized democracy and decentralized communities. Until now we have focused on making the experience for users as good as possible. That means ensuring there are no major bugs and that the app works fast. I look forward to reading your comments and getting your support. :-)

That's just great. Good luck team! Any plans to involve web-3 in the project?
Nikhil Bapna
@kronop Yes for sure... thought of that almost 3years ago (before web3 was a thing)... but practicality forced us to push that to once we have prod fit. But ideally this project is perfectly suited for web3. We already are providing decentralized social network for the user (though not as yet in the backend)

Can I post on behalf of the community or in the community on behalf of the user and I can't do it anonymously? There are similar communities in the Russian social network, the principle is similar
Nikhil Bapna
@diana_sfera Ok that's interesting. I didn't know this was common in Russia. I'd love to know more.. (I didn't fully understand the first part of your comment)
Diana Akhmetova
@nikhilbapna I'm sorry, I probably didn't express myself correctly. I meant is the news anonymous in the community or can you see who publishes it? Maybe in the future there will be such a function?

Congratulations to the entire team! This is a great app that addresses so many different areas at once. I remember having to set up a Google group back in the day for the RWA and residents in my colony and can only imagine how Simply Local would change that entire arena today. Allowing everyone to connect based on their neighbourhood and form and grow communities together is a such superpower that’s just waiting to be unleashed — and I’m so glad that Simply Local is taking bold steps towards making that happen. In today’s challenging times, the ability to connect with your neighbours, see how they’re doing and if anyone’s in need of support, or if anyone can provide assistance when you need it, is just priceless. Great job, folks. Onwards and upwards.
