In the age of handheld stabilizers, this seems a bizarre product.

@andreasduess That was my first thought, I immediately scanned for "gimble" or "stabilization". I have to admit until recently I didn't appreciate what stabilization does but it's significant.

Shure have just released this kit which includes a mobile tripod and a digital stereo condenser microphone, this would be perfect for mobile Journalists! 😮
