Hey all, thanks for checking us out! 🎉
It’s no secret that airlines are constantly changing flight prices, but luckily they have 24 hour free cancellation. Carry uses that to your advantage
👉 Price Drop Protection gets you a refund if there’s a price drop on a flight you’ve already booked
How it works
✈ Book a flight with any airline
📉 We’ll monitor price drops for 24 hours
💰 You’ll get rebooked on the lowest fare
Huge fan of Carry! Booked my flight recently to NY and was a breeze. One click booking with all my info including KTN and I was ticketed in a minute.
Integrating into Google Flights is game changing — I refuse to use other search engines bc they are way slower. Carry speeds me up even more since I don’t have to deal with airline forms :)
@tejasmanohar I figured, just making sure~ Do you work with literals all airlines around the world? Or just the ones serving specific areas (e.g. the US)?
@anna_0x No worries! I understand. Lots of tools trying to sell your data these days. TBH, I don't think that would even be profitable (at our scale at least) :P
To answer your question, this policy currently applies to USA domestic flights on Carry, but we're going to be expanding its support, as airline policies actually allow 24 refunds on many many more flights. You'll see a notice on whether we support price protection for the flight in the Carry popover when you try to book the flight. You can still 1-click book all other flights on Carry and use Carry to help find the best prices (more here soon!)
@tejasmanohar even without the 24-hour refunds, your service would still be useful if it/you can book flights on the users' behalf. Booking a flight is needlessly time consuming. So much in fact, that many frequent fliers would rather pay somebody else to book them.
So grateful for Carry! The days of keeping track of all my different frequent flyer numbers across airlines and triple checking flights on google in case prices fell are finally over!
Congrats on the launch! Definitely will be using Carry for my next trip.
Do you have a sense of how airlines feel about automatic check in, particularly Southwest?
@nikhil_kulkarni We currently do not offer automatic check-ins for Southwest, as they have that as a paid feature, and we have a lot of respect for Southwest Airlines overall. For other airlines, it seems that it's fine!
@michael_n Reservations are booked directly with airlines so you still get the miles as usual! Carry will even remember your mileage numbers for you. And, Carry is a travel merchant so you still earn the travel points multipliers on your favorite credit cards :)
Really enjoy using Carry when travelling. Corporate travel can be such a hassle and with 1 click booking I'm good to go. They're watching out for the user and helping monitor price drops on your behalf which is super efficient. Would recommend!
I exclusively book all our corporate travel with carry! Their new chrome extension has now made it so much easier for me to book all my personal travel with them too. Really glad this product exists. Much needed, and can’t wait to see the amazing things the team achieves
Something doesn't add up here. Airlines only pay a fixed amount commission for tickets booked thru a 3rd party and it was a pittance last I remember. And you don't even have to use this app to change your ticket in the next 24 hours as most conventional airlines give you this option. You just need to be vigilant. Installing another piece of spyware on my browser, just for the convenience of not watching ticket prices for 24 hours is not a good premise to me. To each his own. Sorry.
@thenomad63 While it's true that you don't need a 3rd party app to do this, what we're offering is the convenience of us watching the prices and automatically refunding it for you! We can also remember all your information and allow you to book flights and hotels in 1-click instead of filling out those long forms on airline sites. Soon, we'll be offering exclusive discounts as well that you won't be able to find elsewhere on the web.
Carry is awesome, and this is a great starting point for simplifying the travel-booking process to make it slightly less miserable and onerous. Would love this for Southwest until departure too (lawsuits for prior attempts at Southwest notwithstanding :) )
The tagline is rather misleading. After clicking through it looks like this only works if the price drops within 24-hours which is somewhat useful, but not as impressive as advertised.
