We believe in connecting those who need something done with those who love to do it.

By bridging the gaps between buying and selling a service through technology, design, and an all-around enjoyable user experience, we have created a peer-to-peer marketplace where buyers and sellers of local services come together to book, earn and... Shindig! πŸŽ‰

Hey @ericjste What was the inspirations behind building this product? What's aspect are you most proud of?

Hey @jacqvon! There are two main inspirations as to why @andrewferdi first started creating Shindig. The first being his own experiences β€” both good and bad β€” as a freelance photographer. Although he was active on social media, had some great referrals and references, and was "on Google," he felt like he wasn't getting the clients and leads he deserved from all his hard work. That's why he created Shindig πŸŽ‰ to offer an all-in-one tool and marketplace to bridge the gaps between those offering and those seeking a service. The second being this: 🏑 Andrew's overarching goal has always been to buy a house for his family to live in together. Although this isn't product-focused, it certainly helps him (and me!) to work with a relentless sense of pride and passion. As you can probably see from the design, the main target for the Shindig app is primarily those who are young, up-and-coming, and hope to do something they love as a living β€” whether it's being a photographer, make-up artist, hair stylist, DJ, tutor, or anything else! Shindig offers a way to connect those who need something done with those who love to do it. Whether you're throwing a birthday party for your grandfather and need everything from a caterer to a decor specialist or if you're flipping an apartment and need a carpenter, electrician, and real estate agent. You can spend less time browsing and searching and more time, well, having a "shindig!" Also, a little inside information, using blockchain technology might be a little something that's being worked on for our version 2.0 release in the future πŸ˜‰

Guys this is a nice idea for an app/service but to be blatantly honest, it does not look very polished and professional and therefore not very reliable. To be more specific: - amateurish homepage (design-wise) and mockups - very low contrast between the FAQ titles and the background, hard to read - little info in website concerning the product and how it came to be Overall you are not making yourselves look very trustworthy and I'm only saying that as a potential user having doubts, not because I wan to shun you. Also a typo in the about page https://shindig.tech/about.html "Cheif US Partner" instead of Chief (which is also means nothing as a title, there is no further info on that person either).
