Shade Generator does one thing and it does it well; generates shades and tints of colors. Looking for a slightly darker version of a color for a button hover effect or drop shadow? You got it! That's about all it does though so don't expect much more 😏

Hi I'm Chris, thanks for checking out my project! And before you say "wow yet another color tool", I know. I started this project about a year ago as a way of learning some new web development tools, and figured some people might find it useful so I thought I'd put it out there. Here are some of the features: - Enter colors in any color code format (RGB, HEX, CYMK HSL etc.) as well as named colors in CSS - Local history of all the colors you've entered - A massive list of 18,000 plus named colors for inspiration - Optional local installation for offline use - Two color split view for contrast comparison - Top 100 most popular colors entered by all users If you have any questions or recommendations for new features, please let me know! Or if you think its dumb and pointless, feel free to let me know that as well!
