Hello eveyrone!
I have rencently moved from linux to MacOS thanks to @gperales, he convinced me.. , and because the colors are completely different I had to look for a VS Code theme, and it was a bit difficult because a lot of them are too dimmed or too dark.
So I decided to reate my own theme.
The background is not too dark, not too dimmed and the syntax is not neon...

Hey @michael_andreuzza , nice improve you added white mode as well, we have some guys that use that as well.
I'm happy to see this is getting updates.
I'm using the Serendipity theme on a daily basis for the past 6 months, on a Mac machine, but with the last update the highlighting words are barely visible and often I'm changing the theme when I'm doing some intensive work.
So my ask is, can we get back the old theme as an unmaintained theme "legacy" let's say because I would love to use that further.
Thank you @csaba_kissi, as you know I was dark mode ultra before, but lately I have been using more light than dark.
I start it appreciating a good light theme,...and websites.
I love the colors. Is there a way to get it to use more italics a la the Night Owl theme? I just love the italics in Dank Mono and want to see more of them :)
@michael_andreuzza I'm coming back to VS Code after a year+ on Nova so I'm not familiar with the setting I should use, wondering what setting in settings.json would cause the rendering of italics for more of the code? I don't see an option that seems like what I'm looking for but I'm sure I just missed it.
Awesome as always Michael! It's quite fun to launch at the same time and compare results. You're killing it as usual! I'll check out the theme once I get my laptop up and running again.
I use 2 different IDE's depending on what work im doing. for VS code i use this theme as i still cant find anything better at the moment..
Mike is an absolutely sound bloke who cares about the work he does both free and commercial!
Go check out his other works. its incredible!
Just installed it on both iMac and MacBook, and itβs just beautiful and comfortable. I was previously using the default dark+ theme with the Material Icon Theme (I keep this Icon theme for now except if I find a better one)
@nathanfallet Cheers Nathan.
I am using a different icon theme, I can comebackn tell you soon as I get back home.
Thank for trying it, really appreciate!
This looks great. However, as a person who has trouble distinguishing contrast between colors, this is pretty bad. I'm sticking with GitHub Dark Default which provides enough contrast to distinguish colors.
.....mmmI havn't go any feedback about that actually.... been testing the accessibility and is pretty high.
Try this, it has much more contrast than the dark https://marketplace.visualstudio...
Mesmerising, good choice on the color options, pale palette it's a thing this year.
For me works very well with Fira Code font and font ligatures.
It's a very good replacement for my GitHub Dark theme I had for several months now.
Keep going with the good work! π
yea, is true wkth Fira Code works great too @iulian_albu.
I have been using the GH Dimmed but it became weird on retina.
The pale colors helps because they are not neon, when using neon, eyes are suffering too...and Darkmode becomes pointless.
Thank you for the kind words!
