As a B2B company that markets across the U.S., our need for the map may be less than for companies that are local or geographically-centric in orientation.

Pros:

Love the ability to pinpoint a certain state or region based on industry. As with all things SEMrush, there's lots of detail.

Cons:

More beneficial for local businesses perhaps?

@ole_julia I think the tool's scope is perfect. You don't need to drill down the city level. The state level is fine. I say that because you've done a great deal of work so far. Let us handle the rest.

@ole_julia This is awesome - showing clients where there is cost efficiency in a market is terrific. National sellers rarely think about specific areas to win. But just like politics, all marketing is local.

You should try it

Cool Tool

Cons:

I love it

SEMrush as a company exceeds expectations and proudly offers quick, detailed and sharable customer server (yes shareable!) but with each new tool, they know exactly what theit customers want and need. I know it sounds like I work for SEMR, but I don't, I promise! LOL

Pros:

Save time and money by knowing what industry to focus on, statewide or nationwide for both your own company and your clientele.

Cons:

No city data yet, but hopefully metropolis or regional data is coming soon! Hmm? :D

Pretty cool. I got purchase auto insurance online in Mississippi also at $623.4. wow. Also... how do we see the other (or pick our own) keywords?
Yulia Pavlenko
@therndmshop thanks for the feedback! For now we show only three most expensive and most searched keywords, but thinking about showing more data on demand in the future. Individual maps based on customers' custom keyword sets are also on our radar. Thanks again, looks like we're moving in the right direction!
KowAbundant
This is a very interesting tool that I came across while using SEMrush for business. So far the tool is a lot of fun to test out new keywords and see what sectors are of interest for my local SEO business in Columbus Ohio. Kowabundant.com specializes in local SEO and Google Ads for small businesses. Some of our clients have campaigns across the United States so this is interesting to target keywords in those areas. The most interesting feature that I see is finding business sectors with low CPC and which have very high CPC. I had an idea about the insurance industry but seeing the data backing it up is what I really value. Now I can use this tool to analyze new market sectors for my business to consider going after. I enjoyed quickly seeing the info about marketing and advertising to provide some quick insights into my own CPC campaigns as well as which words to try to SEO for. Issues: I have seen some CPC be much higher than I have actually experienced. There are always options to lower your CPC and that's what Kow Abundant does. Very good tool to show possible high CPCs to clients as a sales tool though.
Yulia Pavlenko
@kowabundant thanks for the detailed feedback! The actual values in every campaign may vary for sure, the tool provides snapshots of how high the CPC was in a certain day. However, as soon as we accumulate more historical data we will be able to track the CPC seasonality, which may also be useful to predict the campaign performance for a certain month/season. Comparing the benchmarks from the tool to the actual CPC you achieved in your campaigns... this can be really powerful for a sales pitch! Haven't thought about it yet!
