Tunnel Rush Game

What I learned from building Color Tunnel – a fast arcade game

Hi makers,

I recently built a small arcade game called Color Tunnel, inspired by those endless runner titles that test your reflexes at crazy speed. While working on it, I learned a few things that might be useful for other indie devs:

Minimal visuals help gameplay. Keeping the graphics simple made it easier for players to focus on obstacles at high speed.

Difficulty curve matters. Making the first 30–60 seconds fun but not impossible was harder than expected.

Instant restarts keep players hooked. When players fail, they want to jump back in right away.

I’d love feedback from this community:

What keeps you coming back to an arcade/reflex game?

Do you prefer score-chasing, or more levels/modes?

If you’re curious, here’s the link to try it out: https://tunnelrushgame.org/color-tunnel

Any thoughts would be super valuable 🙏

Thanks for reading!
