We Launched Bolo – A Voice-Based Emotion Tracker. Now We Are Listening (to You, Too)

Hi PH friends 👋

We recently launched Bolo, and I wanted to open up a little more about why we built it and ask for your honest thoughts now that it’s live.

Bolo was born from a pretty simple question:

What if your tech could hear when you are not okay even when you say you are?

Like many of you, I have used ChatGPT to vent or process thoughts when I didn't feel like opening up to anyone else. And sometimes that felt surprisingly therapeutic.

But it also made us wonder:

💭 What if we could go deeper by listening not just to what you say, but how you say it?

So Bolo listens to your voice. To your actual tone, rhythm, energy and surfaces emotional patterns over time. It doesn’t give diagnoses or play therapist. It just helps you see yourself a little more clearly, day by day. Quiet support, no journaling required.

Now that Bolo is out in the world, I would love your help:

🔍 What surprised you about it—good or bad?

💬 How do you feel about apps that listen vs apps that just read?

🎯 What features or use-cases would make this actually stick in your life?

We have got more in the works (including higher accuracy, better integrations and more privacy control), and your feedback will directly shape it.

Thanks so much to everyone who has already checked it out. And if you haven’t yet, I would love for you to try it and tell me what feels useful or what doesn’t.

We are still listening. 🧡
