TakeSip – A Story of a Liquid Glass from 2024, Before It Was a Trend in 2025
In 2024, deep in the flow of code, caffeine, and muted notifications, a builder hit pause.
His desk had everything: a polished water bottle, ergonomic chair, dual monitors glowing in harmony — yet he wasn’t drinking enough water. Why? Because reminders were muted, and flow-state was sacred. Until dehydration struck back.
So he built @TakeSip - Your Hydration Companion

A quiet little app that shimmered in #1E88E5 and glowed like a ripple across a lake at dusk - visual and sound nudges based on neuroscience. Not noisy. Not naggy. Just... gentle. A liquid glass on your desktop, glowing every now and then like it cared.
Within 24 hours of launch, TakeSip rose to the top 2 in macOS Health & Fitness. No marketing tricks. Just a real problem solved, beautifully.
Soon, designers, developers, writers, and night owls across the world were taking that sip.
Not because they had to. Because TakeSip reminded them to. Softly.
And in 2025, when “liquid UI” and “ambient health tech” became buzzwords, but TakeSip users were already sipping.

Why for macOS only?... this is another story.
