One unexpected Feature of my new product is going Viral!
We've all tried to rush out the door only to stumble through the discovery that we can't find our wallet. Given the prolific use of AirTags it seems many of my customers at Mighty Wallet have had the same idea, give me a pocket to put my AirTag!
That's a Terrible Idea!
Customers often ask for the wrong thing (like the famously misattributed Henry Ford quote) because they don't realize that other design possibilities exist... but this is motivated me to I set off to make the thinnest wallet finder in the market - stuffed with cool tech that is launching soon on @kickstarter with over 1400 followers already signed up for the launch!

One of the added features that I didn't expect to make big waves was an Audible RFID Alarm that alerts you when an RFID signal is near your wallet. A quick video I made demonstrating the feature already has nearly 1M views on my Instagram.
Although I've long been someone who advocated that RFID credit cards are incredibly safe - the persistence of customers who ask me if my wallets are RFID protected led me to finally release an RFID product of my own called "mighty card" that added this level of protection for only a few bucks and was a lifetime solution.
Nowadays if you make wallets and don't offer RFID it's like you are denying a huge chuck of the marketshare of potential customers. I witnessed this first hand over a decade as my competitors pushed RFID technology and overtook my online presence even as the original inventor of Tyvek® wallets from nearly 20 years ago.
So this change of course seems strange for me but the market has spoken and the response has been incredible. So many shares and comments have opened up this discussion. It's also given me the opportunity to continue to tell customers that RFID is very safe and position the MWF as a peace of mind product.
But the surprise viral response to the skimming alarm of the product has shown that this consumer demand is more pervasive than ever.
I'm also releasing a new LED enabled "mighty card" that lights up to show active RFID signals around you which has an educational element to it that makes visible this technology that remains misunderstood.
The finder itself is produced in an Apple certified MFi facility and we have authorization as an official "Find My" licensee. There is also some other cool tech that I'll cover in a different post.
I hope the PH community can support me on my launch. I'd love to hear your feedback on the design and preview page on Kickstarter.
