My first Chrome extension just launched 🎉 – style extraction + new AI powered features

Hey folks, I just launched my first Chrome extension a few weeks ago, and I’ve already learned so much from early users. It’s called Style Inspector Pro, and the idea is simple: make it painless to inspect any site’s design system. At launch it handled the basics: colors, fonts, CSS, and images. After feedback, I added two new features that really changed how people are using it: ✅ Image downloads + optimization (resize and choose format). ✅ Element extraction – click any element (like a card, alert, or button) and copy the CSS and markup. This can be used with AI tools to guide website and app builds by feeding those snippets directly into the model. On top of that, I integrated AI powered design audits: ✅ Score a site’s visual hierarchy, color contrast, and typography. ✅ Get GPT powered suggestions for improvements (for example, “increase contrast on secondary text”). It’s like having a senior designer reviewing your work instantly. This being my first extension, I’m just excited to see people actually using it, but now I want to keep improving. 👉 To designers and devs: what feature would make a tool like this indispensable in your workflow (especially if you use AI in your process)?
