From video editor to my first AI product launch 😅
Never thought I'd be posting about code on ProductHunt, but here we are!
I'm primarily a video editor, but got frustrated with travel planning chatbots that forget everything you tell them. So I decided to build my own.
The journey was... intense:
Started with zero backend experience
Chose Replit because I break everything locally 🤦♂️
Spent days just figuring out OpenAI's conversation threading
More console.log statements than actual code at first
What I learned:
API integration is 20% coding, 80% troubleshooting random failures. The conversation memory system took forever to get right, but now it actually remembers your budget, preferences, everything across the whole chat.
Honestly? I'm super nervous. This is my first product launch ever. Part of me thinks "who am I to sell code?" but the other part knows I solved a real problem that frustrated me as a traveler.
Built it specifically for solo travelers since generic travel advice is terrible. The AI actually gets context and gives relevant suggestions.
Really hoping for some supporters and maybe even a few sales to validate this wasn't weeks of wasted effort 😬
Fellow makers - how did you get over the imposter syndrome on your first launch?
Any feedback welcome! 🙏 https://reinoso4.gumroad.com/l/kmprk
