Co-creating a Hassle-Free Feeding Tracker — Starting with One Click
Hey everyone, especially fellow parents! 👋 Ever found yourself fumbling with your phone at 3 AM, trying to log a feed while juggling a baby? Or trying to coordinate with your partner/grandparents about who fed the little one when? Yeah, it's a special kind of chaos. 😅
That's exactly why I'm tinkering with this little project: an IoT feeding log. The idea is to make tracking less of a chore.
So, where are we? We're in the very early MVP (Minimum Viable Product) stage. Think a simple physical button (ESP32-based, for the techy folks) that you press to log a feed, and it syncs wirelessly so everyone in the family can see the latest. Honestly, it's probably going to look like a science fair project for a while, and I'm fully expecting a ton of bugs. 😂
But the motivation is real: to solve the tedious 'open app, tap, tap, tap' dance and the 'did anyone feed the baby?' confusion.
I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts:
Does a simple physical button for logging sound more convenient than an app to you?
What are your biggest pain points with tracking baby feeds?
Any features you'd love to see in something like this, or any "please don't do that" advice for this "little gadget"?
Seriously, all feedback, ideas, or even just sharing your own war stories are super welcome. Let's build something useful together (or figure out it's a terrible idea and save me some time!). What do you think?
