Board Assistant Power-Up for Trello — automation with real control (and no headaches) 🚀

Hey everyone! We recently launched Board Assistant — a Power-Up for Trello that brings powerful automation without code and without complexity.

Why we built it

Yes, Trello has built-in automation — even for managing members.

But in real life…

❗ It takes time to set up and test properly

❗ If you rename a list, your rules break

❗ There's no flexibility per card — it’s all-or-nothing

We fixed that with Board Assistant.

👥 Smarter member automation — simple, flexible, reliable

🧠 Clean visual interface for assigning/removing members when cards move between lists. Rename your lists? No worries — everything still works.

📦 Unique feature: every card gets its own Board Assistant panel, where you can define custom per-card rules for member changes. For example:

  • All cards moved to “In Progress” get assigned to John

  • But this one card? It follows its own logic and assigns Jane instead

💬 Automatic comments = meaningful change history

Trello’s activity log is… okay. But it doesn’t show what actually changed.

Board Assistant adds auto-comments whenever key fields change:

  • custom fields

  • labels

  • dates

  • checklists

You'll see before and after values, clearly written in natural language.

It’s like a smart audit trail — built right into your cards.

🔁 Plus:

  • Copy custom fields, labels, and lists between boards

  • Configure member actions per list: add, replace, clear, or ignore

  • Add a “Next list” button to cards for smoother workflows
