I agree with the two prior comments about the logo - not my favorite (actually the big S in the video screen cap above would be a significant improvement) - but the program itself is wonderful - for long form writing, for knowledge management, really anything you'd need to do writing wise.
Scrivener is one of those apps that makes me wish that I was a writer. It just seems so complete. If i had any complaint to make about the iOS version, it's that it doesn't support iCloud our iCloud Drive as well as Dropbox. But that's just a personal preference because Dropbox is blocked here and iCloud isn't.
I really want to like Scrivener but the logo and desktop UI puts me off a lot. I've resorted to using Ulysses in the meantime. The iOS app looks very comprehensive though.
Logo aside, this is a brilliant tool on Mac. That said I'm not sold on it on iOS. Mostly because, Scrivener's value for me is as an editing/rewrite tool and I don't use my iPhone for that. iPhone writing in my experience is raw thinking. And pages does that fine. But maybe that's just me.
The Dropbox sync is odd and seems error-prone if you don't neatly close and sync your project before switching devices. Feels very v1.
Any plans for iCloud sync?
