Sanity Studio v3 empowers your team to rapidly configure and customize workspaces to create and manage content for any channel, application, or service. Our new version enables content teams to be more creative and work more efficiently than ever.
Hi PH! I’m excited to represent the work the Sanity team has done since our launch on Product Hunt five years ago.
The Sanity Composable Content Cloud enables teams and businesses to build a content system tailored to their needs, backed by an unparalleled developer experience. We're more than just a headless CMS: customers have consistently told us that we provide the most flexible solution for managing all types of content, from marketing websites, e-commerce storefronts, conference agendas, online gallery exhibits, help documentation, and more. World-renowned brands like Figma, Nike, and Sonos trust Sanity to create experiences for millions of users and fans. And we're equally proud to support the tens of thousands of developers, content editors, product managers, and everyone on a digital team who uses Sanity to bring their ideas to life.
Today, we're launching the latest version of our open-source application for building custom content workspaces: Sanity Studio v3. We’ve built many new features for content creators and developers working with any content, doubling down on our commitment to offering the most customizable content workspace in the industry.
With Studio v3, you can create customized content authoring workspaces powered by your content models. Out of the box, the Studio generates intuitive authoring interfaces for content creators with a few lines of code. If you want a more custom setup for specific content, the new studio customization framework enables developers to quickly make something that works — without feeling like a bunch of hacks. And when it comes time to ship content to the world, Sanity takes care of the hosting and delivery for you with a hosted data store, the Content Lake, and powerful APIs for querying and integrating content for any app, channel, or service.
Sanity Studio v3 is a complete rebuild of the Studio based on everything we’ve learned from seeing thousands of projects built using the product. Existing Sanity users will feel the upgrade instantly with new features like drill-down search, workspaces, and improved performance with Vite. If you are new to Sanity and want more from your CMS, say hello to our team, who are here to answer any of your questions.

@tarungangwani I love that this is an open-source application! I hope this will remain open-source since this will really help us do what we need to do!
I'm a Sanity user since v2, and I have never found a better alternative for Sanity. Its the best JAMStack CMS out there. I have made couple of open-source projects to help you get started. checkout: https://github.com/surjithctly/j... which uses Next.js & Sanity CMS. So you can start quickly.
Hi, CTO and co-founder of Sanity here!
We created Sanity to answer our own needs as creators of digital experiences, and one of the main things we wanted was a content workspace that was totally customizable without the unsavory hacking involved in adapting traditional CMSes. So Sanity has been the most cleanly and totally customisable content workspace from launch.
Why is that important? In our experience, any great idea or innovation in the end user experience corresponds to some need for a workflow or authoring ability of the content teams. And we found that our greatest ideas were often pretty straight forward to implement in the front end, but impossible to control for the content teams due to rigid CMS logic.
Well, with great powers come ever increasing ambitions! With the excellent APIs we created for Sanity v2 we saw teams upping their game, and then their ambition levels to the limits of what even those APIs could responsibly support.
So what is Sanity Studio v3? It is us looking at what our customers are doing, what they maybe could be doing, and where the industry is and should be heading and taking the customization game to the next level. Some people go as far as calling v3 a proper framework for building tailored content workspaces, and there is a kernel of truth to that, but we still prefer to think of it as customization. Just deeper and cleaner than you might be used to.
Anyway. The point of all this is not the fascinating customization, or the excellent developer experience, the full type script support or the cleanliness of providing Sanity as a pure React component that can integrate anywhere React is spoken. The point is that this sets teams free to create even more satisfying and remarkable end user experiences in the knowledge that you can always deliver the workspace experience to enable content teams to drive it.
The launch of Studio v3 has been amazing, and we are so grateful for all the support we are seeing from the community and our customers. Thank you also for your support, and happy to answer any questions you may have!
