Samsung DeX - Connect your Galaxy S8/S8+ to a monitor

Samsung DeX gives you what you want from a desktop experience: a big screen, a full-size keyboard and a mouse. Just plug your phone into the DeX Station to use apps, review documents and set or check notifications on a desktop interface.

DeX has been out for a while and unfortunately not as popular as it could be - may be because you need a flagship for it? Anyway, had a chance to try it with a Note 8 and it's gotten way better over the last few months. The speed has increased, boot time is really fast, the apps are resized properly and I didn't notice it lagging or stuttering to complete the average task. Also, Samsung is working on dual booting Ubuntu on phones when connected to DeX, which is a huge step forward. Just imagine - no more carrying computers to work, just your phone and you have everything you need.

"Remotely Access Virtual Windows machine via VDI(Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) solutions such as Citrix Receiver, VMware Horizon Client and Amazon WorkSpaces." That's actually really powerful. So you can use your phone to remotely connect to your computer back at the office instead of actually having everything on your phone. This means it doesn't really matter what the specs of your phone are (above a certain minimum) because it's just acting as a portal to your main computer. So, you're in a hotel room with just a TV, you connect up this device and bam, you've got 1080p access to your main computer, especially if your main computer is a desktop. I hate to say it because I feel like I've been saying this more often then I'd like, but I wish Apple did something like this with their Remote Desktop.

This would be really convenient for the amount of work I do on my phone.
