Hello, Product Hunt! 👋 (And a big thanks to @kevin for hunting us!) I’m Gabriel, one of the co-founders of Runway. We’re a team of former app designers and engineers, and we think that releasing mobile apps is a pain. Every release costs you time and unnecessary headaches: context-switching between tools in 20 different browser tabs, manually running through a laundry list of to-do items, chasing down teammates or stakeholders to complete tasks and get signoffs, and pinging back and forth on Slack to check on the status of everything. Runway solves this exercise in herding cats by creating a source of truth behind the madness and putting your releases on autopilot. You connect your existing tools (e.g. Jira, GitHub, CI/CD, Slack, and app stores) and the platform gives you a unified dashboard for understanding the progress of your release, automates a ton of manual tasks from kickoff to release, and handles communication of status and blockers to your team. Some key feature callouts: 🗺 A true picture of feature completeness Issue tracking and version control are both powerful tools for teams, but sometimes it’s difficult to understand how the state of one relates to the other, and the two worlds often get out of sync. Runway does the heavy lifting of reconciling the status of tickets on one side with code on the other, so you can be confident about the state of work going out with the release. 🚂 Release trains, automated Runway features a release train scheduler that can automate kickoff, submit, and release, on a recurring basis. Combined with other helpful automations (bump version, branch creation, default release notes, tagging, and many more), Runway makes your release trains more hands-free and allows your team to focus on development instead of process. 👩‍💻 Never set foot in App Store Connect or Play Console again Runway gives you a unified place to manage everything you tend to do release-to-release in the app stores. No context-switching between Apple and Google worlds or worrying about their changing requirements and UI every time. Plus, design and marketing can contribute without hand-holding or needing to give them access to sensitive tools. 🤝 Make releases more collaborative, according to your process We’ll handle team comms around important milestones via customizable Slack notifications, so you don’t have to. And you can add interactive checklists to Runway that codify tasks that are unique to your team’s release process and serve as both process documentation and just-in-time reminders for task owners. During our early access program we’ve been lucky to already work with industry-leading mobile teams behind some of your favorite apps for food delivery, fitness, finance, and more, and today we’re excited to open up Runway to the wider mobile world! We’d be really grateful for any and all feedback from the PH community, so please comment and let us know your thoughts! 🙏 (also we’re hiring! 👀)

We’ve been using Runway at BeatGig for the past few months to ship updates for our React Native app. It’s been an unbeatable experience. After launching our website using Vercel, we grew used to deploying updates to users with a simple ‘git push’. I wanted to bring this same developer experience to releasing our mobile app, where releases are historically cumbersome and slow. So I posted on Twitter asking how it could be done, and someone sent me a link to Runway. With Runway, our iOS and Android releases feel as convenient as Web. The GitHub Actions integration makes it easy to send over-the-air and App Store updates, without disrupting our workflow. The team has also been really responsive to my feedback, adding in special features for React Native in a few days time when we needed them.
Gabriel Savit
@fernandotherojo Thanks so much for the kind words, and glad to hear the RN help has been a win for you all!! Excited to see where you take BeatGig :)
Franciska Dethlefsen
This is a must have tool for mobile teams! It's clear it's built by a team who've felt the pain points themselves. Congrats on the launch @gs_ and team 🚀🚀🚀
Matt Varghese
@gs_ @franciska_itly Thanks Franciska! The pain is real

Runway has been great for helping our team manage the overhead of releases, enabling us to release smaller/incremental changes more often whilst still being confident in the integrity of what is being released. Integrating with Runway was easy, and even that process helped us reflect/improve some of our own internal processes at the same time. Gabriel & the team have been extremely helpful, & I'm excited to see where they take the product!
Gabriel Savit
@olibates 🙏 It's been great working with you and the team so far, and super glad to hear the experience has been helpful beyond the reach of the tool itself, too - really cool!
Jason Kokx
We've been using Runway @LifeOmic for a few months to release our mobile apps. The tools provided are amazing in helping us automate the release process. The Runway team has been super responsive in answering our questions and helping us use their tools.
Gabriel Savit
@jason_kokx Thanks so much for sharing!! It's been fun working with you all and we're still really impressed by how quickly you got up to speed and how fully you've automated your release trains with us 💪

At Colorcast, we're very fortunate to be one of Runway’s early customers. Congrats to @gs_ and team on the launch! Runway is one of those rare products that once you start using it, it becomes hard to imagine doing things “the old way” ever again. Before we started using Runway, App Store releases felt like an ordeal. We spent way too much time coordinating on Slack - updating build numbers, sharing QA test results, getting approvals, etc. We had a “playbook”, but it left too much room for human error and affected our release quality and frequency. Now, Runway is our single interface and source of truth for engineering, product, and QA teams, keeping everyone in sync on where the release stands. It smoothly guides us through cutting the release -> feature & regression testing -> submitting & releasing in an automated, consistent fashion. As a result, we’ve reduced QA hours while releasing more frequently and with greater peace of mind. Finally, the team at Runway is top-notch, and they have a really strong understanding of what makes mobile teams successful. They’ve been a pleasure to work with and learn from. If you or your team are doing mobile dev, I cannot recommend this product enough.

@m_corley Thanks so much Matt!! It has been great working with you too, and so glad to hear that Runway has been helping you and your team.
Gabriel Savit
@m_corley Amazing vote of confidence, thank you so much Mat!! It's been awesome working with you and the team so far 🙌
Michał Tajchert
Looks great! There is 30 day trial but I cannot find a pricing page after that.
Gabriel Savit
@mtajchert Thanks so much, Michał! Pricing is evolving as we continue building out the product, but currently starts at $400/mo per app, with a few pro/enterprise tiers above that.
Neil Kimmett
We've been using Runway for over a year at ClassPass and it has had a huge impact on our app release process. What used to be a tangle of checklists and Google Sheets and Slack channels and JIRA tickets is now a super streamlined process. Gabriel and team have been incredibly responsive to all of our feedback, often delivering a new feature or bugfix on the same day we ask for it. I truly can't recommend this product enough, congrats on the public launch!
Gabriel Savit
@neilkimmett Massive thanks as always Neil! It's been amazing having you and the ClassPass team with us from day zero 🙏
Matej Balantič

To the mobile devopment teams out there that are thinking if this is worth trying: give it a go! Gabriel and the Runway team are incredible product people who listen to the customers and take every feedback dead serious.
Gabriel Savit
@matej.balantic Thanks to you and team Beams for the vote of confidence 🙏 It's been awesome working with an equally product-minded team like yours!

This is a MUST HAVE for your app development teams! Love that Runway empowers the team to spend more time on what matters. Great solution to a terrible process, clearly built by those who have deeply experienced challenges IRL.

Ralph Young
I've spent so much time in App Store Connect managing beta testing and releases in the past, and now Runway does all my grunt work 😍. Without a doubt, Runway is helping move our organization's release schedule to a more predictable cadence and is lending much more faith in our testing strategy. Given Runway's ability to fully automate the release process, it is the catalyst we've needed to become more strategic and intentional with releases. If you're regularly shipping mobile products, get them on the Runway for takeoff. Thank you, @gs_ and @dave_fillion, for your hands-on approach during implementation and the continuation of a terrific client-customer relationship.
Gabriel Savit
@rcyoung Thanks so much for the kind words, Ralph!! Super excited to hear that we're taking work off your plate already, and looking forward to more with you and the team!

We've been using runway for month now as one of our staple developer tools. Runway has really helped us streamline the release process for our app Clash of Streamers on Android and IOS. The developers are really responsive and if there is ever any issue they sometimes even get fixed within the same day, one of the best customer support experiences I have had. They keep adding new features that are really useful and even customized some functionality for our specific workflow. After having used the tools for a while I can really recommend it to anyone that wants to optimize their release workflow and keep their whole team on the same page during the release process. Great job of the whole team and wishing them the best going forward!
Gabriel Savit
@riccardo_varenna Thanks for the kind words!! So glad to hear Runway has become a staple and it's been a pleasure working with you and the team! 💙
Annica Burns
Definitely my favorite new product of 2021! We've been working so hard to achieve Continuous Deployment for our Mobile Apps, and Runway paved the last mile of that road for us. Happiness is never having to log in to App Store Connect or the Google Play Store console! And what a surprise to find SSO integration for a product at this stage. That feature allows us to surface the status of our releases to the entire organization on demand. I also can't say enough good things about their commitment to customer service. They are literally ALWAYS available in Slack or to jump on a zoom to answer questions or provide advice. Questions are answered within minutes and any problems are fixed within the hour. This is must have software for any modern, DevOps-oriented mobile engineering team.
Gabriel Savit
@annica_burns THANK YOU for this super humbling endorsement 🙏 We've appreciated your buy-in and faith from the beginning, and it's been awesome to watch how you all have leveraged Runway to the fullest extent. Really excited to continue the relationship 🚀
