You can now seamlessly integrate rtrvr.ai with any MCP SSE server, opening up a world of possibilities:

• Add Any Remote MCP Server: Simply paste the server URL into the new MCP Tools section of the Tools dropdown to connect rtrvr.ai to for example Zapier, Notion, or Linear!

• Control Your Tools: Easily toggle which MCP tools are available to the AI and refresh the tool list from the MCP server whenever new tools get added to the server.

• Interweave MCP Calls in Your Workflows: Prompt rtrvr.ai to leverage these external tools as part of its plan – imagine extracting data with rtrvr.ai and then sending it to an external analysis tool via MCP, all in one flow!

• User Tools Still Shine: For APIs or services without an exposed MCP server, our robust "User Tools" feature remains, allowing you to generate and execute custom JavaScript code within a secure sandbox inside the Chrome Extension.

🧠 Introducing the Planning Agent: Your Prompt is the Command Center! 🧠

Forget needing to know which specific button to press for your task.

• Intelligent Planning: Simply describe what you want to achieve in the prompt box. Our new Planning Agent analyzes your request, plans the necessary steps, and orchestrates the underlying actions (Act, Crawl, Extract, etc.) automatically.

• One Button to Rule Them All: With the planner handling the "how," we've removed the specific action buttons. Just type your goal and hit the orange Send button!

• Planner Followup: The planning agent will prompt followup input fields if it needs any further details to orchestrate.

• Our Vision Realized: From the start, our goal was to perfect the underlying automation building blocks and then layer an intelligent planner on top to abstract away the complexity. We're now confident in both the planner's capabilities and the reliability of the actions it calls to release!

v11 is a major milestone, but the journey continues:

• OAuth for MCP (Next Minor Release): We'll be adding support for OAuth MCP Server integration and launching the OAuth authentication flow directly from the Extension.

• rtrvr.ai as an MCP Server (End of Month Target): Imagine the possibilities! We're planning to expose the rtrvr.ai Chrome Extension itself as an MCP Server.

• Federated Cloud Launch (Expected Early June): We want to take a novel direction with our cloud compared to the generic and trite play of cloud hosted browsers + proxies.

  • Remote Triggering: Execute your rtrvr.ai Chrome Extension workflows remotely from our cloud. Trigger automations on your computer from your phone or via API!

  • Distributed Workflows: We're exploring the ability to parallelize and distribute a workflow across multiple installed rtrvr.ai extensions by adding multiple rtrvr.ai MCP server URLs. Imagine distributing a list of sites to process simultaneously across an array of devices. Scale your web workflows across your team like never before!
