Hi Everyone, I'm thrilled to introduce you to Revealio, a unique dating and friendship app born out of a desire to foster genuine connections in an age where true interaction often feels lost. With Revealio, we aim to replicate the excitement of meeting someone new in real life by focusing on the discovery phase. The more you chat, the more information gets revealed, making each conversation a journey of discovery. We believe in the magic of slowly uncovering details about someone, just like the thrill of getting to know someone in person. While Revealio is still a work in progress, we are excited about its potential and would love to hear your thoughts and ideas on how we can make it even better. Ps. I would absolute love to get some feedback on how to further improve Revealio! Happy chatting! 😁

That's an interesting take on the dating/friends app scene! I wonder how many people will ditch their matches after the picture reveal comes in! Good luck and congrats!
Andres Vlaeminck
@chandula Exactly! It’s good that you bring this up! The algorithm gets smarter because of when people unmatch. In other words, we can make some assumptions for the future. For example, the worst thing that can happen to your profile is if people unmatch after 2 or 3 messages. That probably means you said some not-so-nice things! If people unmatch after pictures become available, then we know something about the preferences of the person doing the unmatching, and as a result, we can show more relevant profiles. 😁

Hey @andres_vlaeminck, @chandula raises a valid concern about dating services. Do you think improving matches based on profile pictures might conflict with the values you're promoting? Users might want to avoid being judged solely on a picture and then getting ghosted. It would be more compassionate to eliminate that pain from the start, considering that progressing through this gamification requires them to invest their time and effort. All the best!

@pat_miolan hi there Pat, That is a very valid concern something I’ve thought long and hard about. I know some people might not like the way I tried to solve this but basically everyone gets assigned an internal matching category. And only people in the same category will be matched together. This category is based on your description, your interests, your appearance, the length of conversations you can hold and a whole lot of other variables. In essence this will put you in a group where we can probably assume that all people in that group will find eachother attractive 😁 Unfortunately i don’t have enough users to active this system at the moment but once we reach critical mass this system will kick in and hopefully prevent what you just described. I hope this answer your concerns? Anyway, thank you so much for your interest in revealio 🙏

do you think the Revealio platform has any inherently better protections at keeping out the scammers? Perhaps due to the format it would lend to actual conversation but most dating sites are ruined by all the fake profiles.

@terrence_kelleman Yes, completely agree with you, and i tried to find some ways to mitigate this issue. first off all in the onboarding it is mandatory to take a selfie (which will be converted to an avatar) this step might seem silly and childisch but the thought here is that bot accounts will not be able to easily do this! To further battle bots, there is no webversion and there will never be one so that programmers cannot automate account creation! anyways hope you'll like it!
