Build autonomous AI systems that execute workflows with judgment and reasoning. Connect to any business system, watch every decision, and start with 20 FREE hours monthly.
Hey Product Hunt! Keanan here from the Retool team.
When we launched Retool AI last year, we empowered teams to build AI-powered apps and workflows faster than ever. Now we're taking the next step with Retool Agents—a toolkit to build autonomous AI systems that can reason, make decisions, and take action.
With Agents, you can:
Build fully autonomous agents, powered by your favorite LLM, that can handle entire business processes end to end
Give your agent access to a wide library of prebuilt tools, your existing Retool queries and workflows, any MCP server, other agents or build completely bespoke tools, right inside of the function editor.
Interact with your agents via chat, CC them on emails via an agent-specific email address, or trigger them via Retool workflows or apps so they can respond to webhooks and requests from your entire team.
Deploy with confidence thanks to a comprehensive monitoring views and the ability to create robust evals that range from simple programmatic checks to more complex LLM-as-judge evaluations.
Pay only for the work your agent does with transparent, usage-based pricing.
With Agents, you get access to a toolkit to help you automate any process in your business, and we've already been inspired by what some of our partners have built!
We've seen agents that can help you wrangle your entire team's calendar, research your meeting prospects and add context to every demo request, fight fraudulent chargebacks with detailed analytics, make sense of any of your logistics data and even act as your creative partner on your next great video concept.
The best part? You can start building for free.
We can't wait to see what you create! Drop your questions or ideas below—the team and I will be in the comments all day!
@parth_ahir Thanks for the kind words! We've got a ton of content in the works about how easy it is to get started building an agent and we're excited that folks are already diving in.
Hey Retoolians! In some of the messaging, I notice you mention that your goal is "to automate 10% of U.S. labor by 2030. That’s approximately 15 million full-time jobs worth of work," which is one of the coolest goals I've ever seen on PH, and I want to know more.
How will that work, and what does it mean?
Congrats on the launch, by the way. You can see how much hard work and love went into it!
Thank you for asking! Retool's goal to automate 10% of US labor by 2030 is based on the real impact we're already seeing. Our customers have automated over 100 million hours of work using Retool, with more than 140 million AI app queries and 16 million AI-enabled workflows executed. This has unlocked approximately $5 billion in concrete value!!
With Retool Agents, we aim to automate repetitive tasks by equipping LLMs with specific, customizable tools, freeing people from tedious, repetitive work that nobody particularly enjoys doing, and giving them more time to focus on creative work only a human can do.
Also, wanted to thank you for all of your work and help in making this possible :)
So excited about this launch! Have literally been dreaming of a product like this for the last few months. Retool's super power has forever been production level access to read-write data. Excited that Retool 2.0 gives this power to AI agents as well.
PS: Love the insight that escaping out of the LLM and into pre-written code blocks improves accuracy. This is the way.
@hirday_gupta Thanks! Yeah we're excited about the combination of non-deterministic LLMs combined with more deterministic tools to give folks the best of both worlds.
Excited to hunt Retool Agents and bring this latest launch to the wider startup community today!
As someone who's been following the no-code/low-code space for years, this feels like a significant step forward.
Retool has consistently been ahead of the curve—they basically defined what internal tooling should look like, made connecting to databases and APIs actually enjoyable, and now they're pioneering the next frontier with autonomous agents.
The Problem:
We've all been living in this weird limbo where we have these incredibly powerful AI models that can think circles around us, but then we're sitting there like digital secretaries copy-pasting between ChatGPT and our actual work systems. It's honestly absurd. There's gotta be a better way.
The Solution:
What Retool's built here isn't just another AI tool - it's the missing bridge that actually lets AI do the work instead of just thinking about it. The fact that these agents can tap directly into your existing Retool tools and databases? That's the unlock right there.
The pricing model is genius imo too. $3/hour vs $25/hour for human labor - no complex token math, just pure economics that any exec can understand in 30 seconds.
Been following this Agentic AI space closely and this feels like a solid answer to "how do we actually deploy AI at enterprise scale without it being a glorified chatbot." The observability piece is clutch - you can literally watch your AI workforce think and act in real-time.
Shoutout to @kkoppenhaver and the entire Retool team who are here today answering questions! 👏
Wow, Retool Agents sounds like an exciting evolution in automation! It's impressive to see how much autonomy and flexibility you've built into this toolkit. The potential for creative and practical applications seems huge. Looking forward to seeing how teams harness this power. Keep up the great work, Keanan and team! 🌟
This feels like a big leap forward. Giving teams the power to build custom agents right inside their stack—without the usual friction—is a serious unlock. It’s practical, powerful, and super thoughtful. Huge congrats to the team on this milestone!

@keanan_koppenhaver Retool Agents sound like a powerful evolution — bringing true autonomy to business workflows is a game changer.
Love the flexibility to connect with existing tools, trigger via workflows, and the focus on monitoring and evaluation.
Would be great to see how easy it is to onboard non-technical users to build or customize these agents. Definitely excited to try this out!
