So Cursor is all the rage, but Replit has its own AI coding assistant which can reason through a task and create its own steps to complete it—such as writing code, setting up environments, and managing deployments. "We've crossed a threshold. This isn't about AI replacing developers. It's about supercharging human creativity and making software creation accessible to everyone." — Replit CEO @amasad

@amasad @chrismessina Lovely, this is something I was looking for. I have been using Replit for a long time and wanted something that can take off some of the work from here. Cursor is good but I think this will bridge that gap of anticipation. Kudos to the team!

@amasad @chrismessina Congrats on the launch! Wishing you and your team an exciting journey ahead. What inspired you to create this?

As a comment to the founders. Give users the ability to start building their first project. Now i cannot do it and can get AHA moment and value. I opened the app, and wrote a description of my project and i want to see it works and build my idea.

Looks great but I couldn't test it. It seems I need to pay to try, is there a way to test this for free or need to proceed to that payment screen wall? :)

Congratulations on the launch, Looks amazing. Will this tool be helpful for non coders who are looking to build software?

Looks cool! 👀 Been using Cursor, but this Replit thing sounds next-level. Might give it a shot for my next weekend project. Anyone here tried it yet? Curious how it handles real-world stuff. Does the QR code on the logo actually work?

As a hardcore fan of AI Coding tool, your product points a new direction: Bundling AI code generation with cloud resources. Hope it would be a working business model.

Congratulations on the launch of the Replit Agent! I'm really excited about how this AI tool can transform the software development landscape and make it more accessible for everyone. I find it particularly intriguing that it can understand natural language prompts. This has the potential to significantly lower the barrier for those who may not have a technical background but have great ideas. The idea of creating applications from scratch with the help of AI is truly revolutionary. I’m curious to know if there are any limitations on the types of projects it can assist with. Additionally, could we expect features that support collaborative development? Overall, I'm looking forward to seeing how this evolves and helps many users bring their projects to life!

Can use my project and embedding documents as input, or use rag technology as a knowledge base of ai, so that Replit Agent can provide content that is more suitable for my project?

Wow its really cool because sometimes you don't know where to start the project.

Dang. Just as I settled into Cursor, something new appears that I want to use instead. 😅

I am always need a coding assistant who doesn't need coffee breaks or sleep. Looks like I finally found one.

I really like it in this tool not focus here on replace developers but making the process more creative and efficient. This feels like the future of collaboration.

Wow, Replit's throwing its hat into the AI coding ring! Looks like Cursor might have some competition 😉 I've gotta say, this new Replit AI assistant sounds pretty slick. Writing code, setting up environments, AND handling deployments? That's like having a coding buddy, a DevOps guru, and a deployment wizard all rolled into one. Color me impressed! But hey, let's not get too starry-eyed just yet. While it's awesome that it can reason through tasks and create its own steps, I'm curious about how it handles edge cases or more complex project structures. Can it adapt to different coding styles or work with legacy codebases? That'd be a real game-changer. Also, I'd love to see how it compares to Cursor in terms of speed and accuracy. Maybe a head-to-head showdown? Winner gets bragging rights and a virtual trophy 🏆 One thing I'm really digging is Replit's focus on making software creation accessible. It's like they're trying to democratize coding, which is pretty rad. But I wonder if they could take it a step further - maybe integrate some kind of learning path or tutorials to help complete newbies get started? All in all, it's looking good, Replit! You're definitely giving Cursor a run for its money. Just remember, in the world of AI coding assistants, it's not just about writing code - it's about writing the future. No pressure or anything 😄

Replit’s AI coding assistant sounds like a significant step forward in making development more accessible and efficient. The ability to reason through tasks, set up environments, and manage deployments without needing to be prompted for each step is incredibly powerful. I love the emphasis on enhancing human creativity rather than replacing developers—this could really transform the way we approach software creation, making it more intuitive and less tedious for everyone. For those who’ve tried both Cursor and Replit’s assistant, how do they compare in terms of practical use and improving workflow? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Wow, @amasad, Replit Agent is truly next-level! The potential to transform ideas into functional apps with minimal effort is mind-blowing. I’m curious about how it handles complex project dependencies and whether there are any plans for integrating with popular CI/CD pipelines.
Congratulations on Replit Agent! This AI-powered tool democratizes software development by translating ideas into functional apps. Will it support collaborative features or integrations with version control systems to enhance team workflows?
