An Avatar-based social hub with meetings, social games and activities. Providing a sense of presence and a digital watercooler to connect your team.
A fun way to build stronger social relationships together through play.
@ashrahman Thanks Ash! Yes, we love the concept of 'leveling up' ๐ remote work. If we can help teams come together with gaming technology we achieved one of our primary goals!
@mitchell_bassett@gene_harris@adam_berry2 glad that you are thinking ahead and utilizing games. Just in case we can be helpful anyway for more simpler games, keep me posted!
I love this and think it has loads of potential for use in education. I added to my list of curated tools for education at: https://www.scoop.it/topic/tools... Thanks
@nik_peachey Thank you for checking us out! Yes, we think so too! Earlier last month we hosted an Otago University lecture in Remotely. Students really enjoyed engaging with the lesson virtually. Thank you for your interest.
@sunkim thank you for your support! That is an excellent question! Remotely is built in Web2 technology, but that being said we have purposefully designed reusable assets that have application into Web3. This is why we've chosen to build 3D avatars, game assets and environments. At some point in the near future we'd like to be a part of the emerging remote work metaverse ๐
@sunkim@whatchuptu Exactly. We focussed on building the community first, but absolutely know that the metaverse is on the cards for Remotely-especially when we add economy and rewards :)
@pixel_liszt thanks for your interest in our launch!
Remotely is best suited for remote working teams in Tech, SaaS and Health, working in Human Resources and Team management roles.
The feedback we have so far from high performing teams is that Remotely, allows them to easily and repeatedly get together, and have fun in a risk free environment.
Sometimes when the work you do is very serious/ stressful, breaking the ice with a game can be just what the doctor ordered. A happy team is a stable team.
@pixel_liszt in regards to team size, our current games are designed for 4-12 players. But this being said, it is possible to split groups into multiple games and mix n' match groups. We find that the best bonding tends to happen with smaller groups when played regularly, say at least 20 mins a week of structured social play.
@mustapha_ajermou1 thank you for your kinds words. We have gone to great lengths to produce artisan avatars, this means custom animation and digitally hand painted textures. It is our personal goal to make the most engaging avatars so that people feel comfortable and expressive in the Remotely platform.
@amelia_charlie Thank you Amelia, we appreciate your support! There are so many great products on Product Hunt everyday and to be honest we've really enjoyed taking questions and chatting to people. So thank you for reaching out.
@amelia_charlie Gene is right the quality of the companies on Product Hunt is mind blowing and they are doing amazing work. We are very happy to be part of that community.
@binay_singh2 thank you! It's a labour of love for sure. We're all passionate gamers and creative professionals. So we wanted the platform to reflect that ๐
Hi Product Hunt! ๐
Gene Harris here - CX Manager at RemotelyHQ ๐ค
As a remote-first company Remotely set out on a mission to connect all remote workers of the worldโฆ.through play! ๐ฒ
There are huge benefits to remote work!.... but, itโs not without its challenges.
In fact, they are the same challenges that have been around for 5 decades that have held remote work back: team coordination, team communication, worker wellbeing and isolation. ๐
As an Avid Gamer Founder Adam Berry made lasting connections with fellow gamers online despite having never met in real life. One day he asked himself โWhy canโt I work this way?โ. ๐ก๐คฏ
So weโve taken the best things about social gaming and built an avatar-based social hub with meetings, social games and activities for remote teams.
Why does your team need this?
Everyone notices a social disconnect while working remote. Lacking the common ground to form lasting social connections people can be left feeling isolated. Affecting their mental health, wellbeing and overall productivity. ๐ฐ
Without team cohesion this can negatively impact employee retention costing companies:
> Recruiting costs
> Onboarding costs
> Lost productivity
> Lost engagement
> Customer service and errors
> Training costs
> Cultural impact
If you had the chance to positively impact your team's culture with just 20 mins a week of structured activities would you take it?
Weโre really excited that our MVP is now live with FREE original games and virtual meeting spaces.

Wow, we're thrilled by everyone's questions and responses to the Remotely Platform! We've been on this journey for a little over three years and the world and marketplace has changed and developed rapidly. We're inspired by the fact that there are people out there who feel the same way about remote team engagement as we do! ๐ฅฐ
We've had so many great questions today. It's great to speak to so many people who are seeking tools to improve their teams remote social environment. We've also spoken to a few people trying to reconnect with relatives overseas as well as game enthusiasts, general tech and remote work champions. It's been a really interesting day so far. Thanks for taking the journey with us so far. โ๏ธ
@dilan_lacin Thank you Dilan. It's exciting to be apart of a company that is working to help remote workers get more socially connected. Something that is good for people :)
