We get loads of messages every day from folks asking how to land a remote job. The big issue? Finding jobs that are truly remote β not just sorta remote, like only in one country or time zone.
So, we made Remote Talent to spell it out: which jobs are really remote, what they pay, and what they're all about. I'm super stoked to roll it out to you all.
This is just the beginning for Remote Talent. We've got a bunch of cool stuff coming soon, and we're keen to hear what you think. In the next few weeks, you'll see us tweaking and improving things based on your feedback. Hope you find Remote Talent super useful!
Hi Product Hunt! π My name is Gillian and I'm the GM of Remote Talent (this product!) I'll be here answering questions, issuing fixes, and eagerly awaiting your feedback... π can't wait to make remote.com/jobs your new favorite job board π«Ά
Congratulations on launching Remote Talent! This sounds like an exceptional platform for bridging the gap between job seekers and employers in the remote work community. Well done on creating such a pivotal resource! ππ
Congratulations on launching your product! You have done a great job of creating something valuable and useful for your target audience.
I have one question - Will it be feasible to integrate a chatbot and a video call feature to enable users to communicate with the employers and the recruiters directly from the product? Users could ask questions, clarify doubts, schedule interviews, and negotiate salaries using the chatbot and the video call feature. This would make the communication process faster, easier, and more convenient for both parties.
@dsarkar awesome and very creative idea! Our mission is really to facilitate *hires being made* not just applications being collected. So anything that serves to accomplish that, we will do :) Adding this to the growing list of ideas. Really appreciate it!
@jaketital what are you trying to sort by specifically? We have a few different filtering capabilities built in (by salary, by location, by work preference, etc) but say more... Here to help!
Congrats on the launch : )
Much needed product I would say.
I have 1 question and 1 feature ask -
1. Feature Ask - More filters to checkout jobs relevant to a particular domain. e.g. backend developer specific jobs.
2. There are a lot of other platforms which are already doing this, how are you going to differentiate from them? e.g. https://weworkremotely.com/
@cosmos we're on it! search and filtering is our top priority right now and we're working on making it better as I write this! Check back soon.
On your second point - there *are* tons of great remote job boards out there that we love. The difference with remote.com/jobs is that we are building towards the goal of helping companies -make hires-, not just collect applications. As an example: the top trending jobs posts on that website have over 100K applicants! AH! How can a candidate hope to stand out? :)
@gillian_o_brien Would like to know more in detail.
These kinds of niche portals are required.
Following the product on its growth.
Best wishes, cheers : )
@gillian_o_brien
One suggestion that I would like to give which I found a pain point in most of these portals is when they redirect you to the Company's application page, the applicant has to fill 100 Boxes to apply for the job.
I know it's something that the Company should work on, but an extension to do this with the uploaded resume will go a long way and can be a great differentiator for your product.
It reduces your application time from 10-15 minutes to seconds.
It's been great to see this come together so quickly in a matter of months!
