Been using RemNote for years on desktop and was so excited to try out the beta for the app!! It's been awesome being able to take my notes on the go for the first time and it's been life changing. It's got its bugs but all in all really great product!
Thanks, @sydney_liu_sl, for your continuous support!! We're working hard on eradicating the last few minor bugs and will release a new version later today.
Woah 😲. I've been trying to find this kind of product without actually know what I was looking for. This will replace all of my podcast and books notes that I take on my iPhone notes app. Great idea guys! I
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am a RN fan from China. We hold a community for chinese users. We love RemNote, as it brings lots of changes for our daily life and learning.
The team is full of passions, they get feedbacks from us and made great progress for the developing.
We usually give feedback and new feature requirements for https://feedback.remnote.com/roa...
Cons:
1. Flashcards + bi-links
2. Everything is a rem, that's means you can do anything in the future with the plugins
3. tree-style knowledge management, that's the best method to manage knowledge, not the information.
4. mobile apps are great and smooth.
5. i18n support for eastern languages, the team are so friendly and professional to handle i18n issues from the ground to the top.
Dis-cons: it is hard to found, aha 😂, only one thing i could complain...
1. UI looks old style, but it always evolving, and currently, it reaches the normal level compared with other tools.
For any chinese users who loves RemNote, please kindly join us in official discord CN channel or QQ group 853031358
Brilliant! Well done. I was one of the beta testers and they paid attention to all my submissions of bugs and worked very hard at it. I have been using it daily and it is an excellent stable release with amazing real-time syncing!
RemNote is a fantastic tool for students. It allows me to easily capture and organise my ideas and thoughts in a way that is intuitive and easy to navigate. The flashcard feature is beneficial when studying for exams. It allows me to review my notes more interactively, using the learning science to help me get higher grades while spending less time studying.
Additionally, the ability to highlight, reference, and link all of my source material is a huge time saver. It eliminates the need for application switching and makes it easy to find what I'm looking for. The Omnibar menu also allows me to complete actions in seconds. Plus, the best part is accessing and making changes to my notes offline. This feature is a huge plus and allows me to study wherever I am, whether or not I have internet access. RemNote is a game changer for my studying and long-term knowledge management. I highly recommend it to any student.
I've been using this for almost two years, and have been beta-testing RemNote iOS for some time too! This is literally THE best notes app out there, and it has everything I need all in one. The way I would describe it is the best of both worlds between the flexibility and structure of plain bullet notes and the pure focus on flashcards of Anki. It lets you make flashcards embedded in your notes, and that single feature makes it the best note-taking app for me. Please give this a try everyone :)
Tried a whole bunch of PKM apps (Roam, Logseq, Mem, Notion, Tana, others) before finally settling on Remnote. I use it to take learning notes and review flashcards, daily journaling, task management both at work and home. Also have a shared knowledge base with my partner that we use to coordinate and record important things.
Pros:
- Well developed and fully integrated Spaced Repetition/Flash Card system
- Fantastic UI
- A sound structural philosophy, really nice middle ground between too much freedom (Roam) and too much structure (Tana).
- Solid mobile apps
- Clear roadmap/priorities, interactive devs
Cons:
- Chugs on huge documents
- Some bugs in the WYSIWYG editor. I think I prefer Roam/Logseq's approach to editing better.
@plundh Glad to have you on board!
That middle ground with just the right amount of structure is key. Thanks for the UI praise as well!
How big of a document are we talking? We've made a number of improvements here recently (the editor is fully "virtualized" now) - if you think this is something we might be able to fix, please send us a note at support@remnote.com. (If the documents are massive, no promises though 😅)
@martin_schneider1 Hmm, you're right that it seems much improved. It might be that I mistakenly interpreted the lazy loading as the same issue since it can appear similarly if the network speed isn't optimal. Thanks!
Beyond excited for this!
RemNote has quickly become one of my favourite products of all time. I used to forget nearly all the information captured into my knowledge base – but now I feel like I have this superpower to remember anything I find important. Super satisfying to run through flashcards too :)
For any students out there, I scored top marks with half as much effort the term I switched to RemNote. Works like magic 🪄
Congrats Moritz and team for this amazing achievement. Rooting for you!
This moment has been waited for a long time, and it will be a good start for Remnote's future.
I've been through a lot with Remnote, I've reported many bugs, and although they are still on the list, I haven't left it either. remnote is still unique and it is still powerful.
Let outline+spaced repetition be mainstream, outline+spaced repetition is the only and right one, and the king of outline+spaced repetition is Remnote.
I am sure that Remnote will be the real future of spaced repetition system.
Thanks to Martin for his genius invention and to soren for arguing with me every day.
I just found RemNote last week. So excited to see it go mobile so I can work on my flashcards when I have those unexpected moments of down time when I am out and about.
Great news! Used Remnote daily for 1,5 years now and been a beta tester of the app. I'm a big fan. Just a curious question - what database do you use server side?
Remnote is by far the best note taking app I've used. I dont take advantage of the spaced repetition functions, but I love the linking and simplicity of the app, however being so feature rich. What I love the most are pdf features and multiwindows within the desktop app. It just fits my workflow in a way that it seems impossible to me it's all within one single app.
As an architect/structural designer I have to keep track of a lot of building codes and normative that relate between each other, and linking and pdf features of remnote make my life easy.
Thank you, @ronald_elizondo! PDF annotation and multi-panes are indeed powerful features. I'm glad you could find useful workflows for your work as architect/structural designer! :)
This is amazing, I switched from android to Iphone last friday thinking about how I wont have remnote anymore, and may need to switch to another flaschards app on iPhone, and when I was about to make the switch I saw the email on how remnote is available on iphone!, I was quite shocked, and found it funny how coincidental it was, remnote is an amazing flashcard tool in which I use for my A-levels (bless me with lifetime free thx) JK! remnote is the best > anki and all those other flaschard apps, usually I think that people who review are NPC's but because of how coincidental it was now Im reviewing lol.
