Hi Product Hunt! I'm Andrew, founder of remio. Nowadays, professionals need to toggle among multiple software applications, handle a large amount of fragmented data daily, and spend too much time on information recording and search.

Meanwhile, general AI such as GPT can't effectively address these issues and may even increase the burden of information processing. Also, work related data isn't well integrated. That's why we decided to create remio to meet the needs of general knowledge workers.

Just like Steve Jobs said, “The personal computer is the bicycle of the mind”, and I think AI is a better bicycle for humans.

Download remio at https://remio.ai/, we are now free to use for everyone!

We truly love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

Share your pain points in the comments—I’m eager to hear your experiences and use them to make remio a better tool for your life and work!

Masum Parvej

@andrew_wy Would be great to see integrations with tools like Notion or Obsidian in the next updates!

Andrew Wang

@masump We will consider integrating with Notion relatively soon. However, our positioning overlaps quite a bit with that of Obsidian. I used to be a heavy user of Obsidian. It was after experiencing its limitations that I decided to develop remio. So integration with Obsidian may be rather difficult.

Leo Ye

@andrew_wy This looks like a fantastic tool, Andrew! Love the vision of making AI a better 'bicycle for the mind.' Excited to try remio out. Great work!

Andrew Wang

@yuhao_ye Steve Jobs compared the computer to a bicycle for the mind decades ago, which is really a far - sighted and apt metaphor. Even today, with the advent of GenAI, I still think software is a bicycle for the mind rather than a car. However, remio, which is based on GenAI, is a much better bicycle for the mind compared to the computers of that time. An ordinary bicycle can increase the speed of human travel, but it can't reduce the difficulty of going uphill. remio is like a bicycle with an electric assist, enabling us to move more easily on uphill sections. Here, the battery providing the assist is GenAI technology.

@andrew_wy Hi Andrew,

I’m Nima, co-founder of Bestofweb .site – a directory for exceptional founders and tools. Congrats on launching Remio! It tackles real issues around fragmented data and scattered workflows without overcomplicating things. We're supporting your launch and invite you to check out our directory.

Andrew Wang

@nimaaksoy Thank you for your invitation.

Olivia Bennet

@andrew_wy Really like the vision behind Remio. The fragmented data + app-switching fatigue is real, and most general AI tools don’t solve it. they just shift the problem. Curious to see how Remio handles context retention and task continuity. Looking forward to trying it out!

Andrew Wang

@olivia_bennet Thank you for your insightful comments. According to some statistical reports, the number of software systems we need to use at work is continuously increasing, and the problems of fragmented functions and information are becoming more and more serious. Statistics show that we make over 1,000 context switches at work every day, and in some jobs, it can be as many as 3,000 times. This causes a large amount of our working time to be consumed on many trivial and superficial matters. remio collects information from various software as much as possible, and builds a real second brain based on this information and the super - capabilities of GenAI. Furthermore, it helps users complete a large number of daily tasks such as information retrieval, synchronization, reporting, writing, filling, and follow - up more efficiently, allowing users to have more time for truly high - value and creative work.

Luo Baishun

Congrats on the launch, Andrew! Love your product concept!

Just curious—was the choice to style the brand name as 'remio' in all lowercase intentional?

Andrew Wang

@luobaishun  Thanks for your support. remio is in all lowercase because it is an abbreviation of the three words "rem (remember), input, and output". If we were to distinguish between uppercase and lowercase, it would be written as RemIO. However, the all - lowercase remio is felt to be more concise and straightforward.

Supa Liu

Great concept! Would love to see how it handles complex idea mapping over time.

Andrew Wang

@supa_l  Thanks. remio has quite a few innovative concepts. Judging from the internal testing, many users like them, such as auto capture.

Marcelo Kunze
Launching soon!

Congrats on the launch, looks beautiful!

Andrew Wang

@marcelokunze Thank you. We have excellent designers with more than ten years of experience :)

SARA Chen

Impressive concept! Love how Remio helps streamline knowledge management with AI — especially useful for busy, tech-savvy users. Congrats on the launch!

Andrew Wang

@sara_chen1015  Thanks for your support. Yes, remio should be a great tool for busy and tech-savvy users.

AuroraW

Always happy to explore tools like remio that bring AI into daily workflows. I'm especially intrigued by remio's upcoming "Knowledge Blending" feature—the kind of structured, personalized answers I'm hoping AI can nail. Excited to see it in action. Congrats on the launch!

Andrew Wang

@auroraw Thank you for your support! Knowledge Blending will be released within two months.

hello_leo

Congrats @andrew_wy . Remio is an interesting note app. How do you think about the advantage of remio to beat notion?

Andrew Wang

@hello_leo We don't intend to outperform Notion. remio is a personal - use workbench. It will get to know everything about you. With its local - first architecture, it can better collect information from various aspects while better protecting privacy and data security. Notion is a typical team - collaboration product. I don't think many users would put all their original information and fragmented thoughts during the process in Notion. In addition, remio should be much faster than Notion.

William Scott

Congrats on launching Remio, Andrew! 🚀

You’re spot on—most general-purpose AIs are powerful but too general when it comes to actual daily workflows. The fragmentation of tools and knowledge across apps is a real pain, and it’s awesome to see Remio tackling this with a more integrated, knowledge-worker-first approach.

Would love to know:

• How does Remio handle connecting and syncing with other tools (like Notion, Slack, etc.)?

• Any roadmap plans for team/workspace collaboration?

Loving the “AI as a better bicycle” mindset — super aligned with how work should feel. Trying it out now!

Andrew Wang

@williamrobertscott thank you for your great comment. Yes, remio is designed to enhance the efficiency of actual daily workflows. remio won't have collaboration features on its own. We believe that personal productivity tools and collaboration tools can be connected, but they don't necessarily have to be bundled together. Just as an IDE used by programmers is a personal productivity tool and Git is a collaboration tool, the two can work together seamlessly but not bundled. remio will explore innovative new ways to integrate and connect with multiple collaborative products. For example, remio will soon support basic browser functions, allowing users to open web - based products like Notion, Slack, and Google Docs within remio. Additionally, users will be able to edit documents in remio, and these documents will be synced to Google Docs and Notion in real - time.

Michael Vavilov

Who is your target audience: copywriters or dev teams?
Congrats on the launch! All the best!

Andrew Wang

@michael_vavilov At present, it seems that managers, leaders, software engineers, etc., whose work is cumbersome and complex, are probably our main early user groups.

Daniel

Congrats to the team on the launch!

Cecilia

Remio is really a good helper to improve efficiency. It is very convenient to collect, organize and apply information, and its AI function is also very powerful. It is especially suitable for users like me who need to manage a lot of knowledge. Recommended to people who need to improve work efficiency!

Andrew Wang

@gardenia_teal Thank you! Yes, when information is too much, remio is just the right.

Yong Woo Shin

Congratulations, @andrew_wy!

Seems like I'll be able to get an another tiny brain that thinks for me :)

Andrew Wang

@pritraveler Thanks for your support. remio can remember anything you have accessed, so it might not be a tiny brain but a huge brain :)

lxfater

Congrats on the launch, Andrew! Why choose to use a local-first ? @andrew_wy

Andrew Wang

@lxfater Thanks. If a product adheres to the positioning of a personal tool and doesn't consider collaboration, then local - first should be a natural choice. Local - first is more convenient, secure, and efficient. Many professional personal tools are local - first, such as IDEs and Photoshop.

Janky H

Congrats on launching remio! 🎉 Elegant design, smooth interaction, I think I'm gonna keep using it to seehow far it’ll stick with me. One suggestion though, I use browser a lot, I suppose we all do, could you synchronize all the interface of the desktop client with the browser extension, so that I can organize and edit useful web pages right in the browser?

Andrew Wang

@janky_h Thank you for your suggestion. Are you hoping that the browser plugin can have more functions of the desktop program?

JaredL
The web recording feature is amazing, but is there no separate place to look at resources besides searching?
Andrew Wang

@jaredl Thanks. Web recording is our most prominent feature. In the next version, we'll soon have the function to view all resources.

Angelina Shevchuk

Congrats on the launch! I love the design of the remio website: it's clean and modern. I love how it highlights its AI-driven features. The layout is intuitive, with clear sections that guide effectively through its functionalities.

I am deff not a designer to give a solid design review, I just really like it!

As a marketer, I like visual elements and user testimonials.

Good luck!

Andrew Wang

@angelinashv We're glad you like the design of our website. You're a professional marketer, and your opinions are very important to us.

Liam Xavier

Been trying out Remio lately and I’m pretty impressed so far. It does a great job pulling together info from different places and actually helps me make sense of it all. The Knowledge Blending thing is super helpful. Still waiting on the Windows version and some of the features to roll out, but overall, solid tool with a lot of potential.

Andrew Wang

@liam_tim Thank you for your comments. Collecting information from all places is the foundation and core of remio. Only with comprehensive data can the capabilities of AI be brought into play. We'll consider the Windows version in Q3. The focus of this quarter is to support local files, multi - device synchronization and mobile apps.

Jun Zhao

Congrats on the launch, Andrew! Excited to see how remio will streamline knowledge management and enhance productivity. Looking forward to exploring its features!

Roop Reddy
Launching soon!

Congrats on the launch, @andrew_wy

Remio sounds like a great solution to streamline data management. Looking forward to trying it out and seeing how it improves my workflow!

Andrew Wang

@roopreddy Thank you. Welcome to try out remio. remio hopes to help users better manage their notes and various documents, regardless of their origin, and build a powerful personal second brain.

siyue

The design concept of remio is different from that of the products on the market. It has its own ideas rather than being uniform. When faced with numerous note-taking apps, users often overlook the key point - the content of the notes is the core. However, remio's focus is clearly on knowledge collection itself, while also providing users with the guarantee of local storage of information. This is a frequently discussed issue in the note-taking circle. I am very optimistic about remio! 👍

Andrew Wang

@siyue Thanks for your comments. To be realistic, I believe that new - generation knowledge management tools should no longer overly focus on notes. Instead, they should manage all information in a unified way as much as possible. We humans don't have multiple brains to store different things separately. By the same token, there shouldn't be multiple "second brains" either. However, we can still use different software. We don't need to integrate all functions into one single software because we can make full use of many different tools.
