Have been trying to source a reliable product to do just the job for quite some time. Would be great if you could alter the transparency level between filters. Great work πŸ™Œ

@lachlankirkwood Great suggestion! That's definitely on my to-do list. Hope to have it ready soon.

What a terrific tool @kirkov - I use Snagit for this on desktop all the time but I love this is available as a stand alone tool and I've added it to the resources I share in my workshops. I could not see an easy way to remove a selected area if I decided I did not want to have that area redacted e.g. if I have several areas selected in an image. You might want to add a privacy notice to the site especially in relation to GDPR. In the future you might want to enable different shapes e.g. circles when redacting content.

@krishnade Happy you like πŸ€— Great feedback! Deleting can be done by hitting Backspace on a selected area, but is definitely something I want to improve as it's pretty hidden feature. Different shapes is next on my todo list πŸ‘ I've briefly described what is being tracked and sent to the server in the about section, but i'll have a look to see if I can make this even more clearer. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated!

@kirkov Thanks for coming back to me. I was looking at it on the footer of the page when I had uploaded the page - sorry missed the About page. You might want to specifically mention privacy policy on the footer as people do look for that and on the About page it might be helpful to add contact information. I hope that helps.
Mark
@krishnade It sure does! Thanks a lot!

Hey Mark, had the launch email in my inbox earlier and thought "okay". Then later my gf asked about a way to hide her photo from a Facebook screenshot. So I just recommend it to my gf πŸ‘οΈ Thanks for making and sharing Peter

@spekulatius1984 It is exactly one of those tools you only need every once in a while. Happy to hear you found it useful!

I was looking to blur out a few parts of screenshots. I thought I would need to use Pixelmator or a similar app for this purpose. I'm happy that you've launched this product! Super clean interface with no distractions. @kirkov

Hey everyone! πŸ‘‹ I've built this little tool since I couldn't find a good and simple online website to redact some details from an image, without having to install an app or having to trust some sketchy site that it will not keep my image around afterwards. All the redaction are done in the browser, meaning the image your "upload" will never be sent to any server. Features: - Drag to select what areas to blur, pixelate, or black out ⬛️ - Supports drag and drop or pasting an image πŸ–Ό - Values your privacy πŸ‘€ - Works offline 🏝 Hope you find it useful ✌️
