β° Edit your videos in a fraction of the time π€― Finds and cuts pauses and gaps, without tedious editing βοΈ Export the cut list to ScreenFlow, Final Cut, Premiere, Resolve π Works with audio files too!
Thanks for hunting Rehman!
I built Recut as a because I was tired of editing screencasts by hand. It always felt like something the computer should be able to do.
Recut is intentionally minimal: it cuts out the pauses (with a few knobs to tweak), lets you preview the video in real time, and then you can export to your favorite high-powered video editor like Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, ScreenFlow, or anything else that can import from XML/EDL files. It's a "pre-editor" to get the rough cut done quickly, so you can focus on the fun creative parts.
It's found a home with happy YouTubers who're saving hours each week on editing, and some podcasters too. If you do any audio or video editing, I hope you give it a try!
@dceddia congrats on the launch Dave! π This is amazing. Simple and intuitive. π
Two questions:
1. Will I be able to upload files to Loom (they support: MOV, .MP4, .AVI, .WMV, WebM)?
2. Timeline import - will it work with iMovie?
Thx a lot. Keep creating. π
Neat product. I believe we have some overlap as we are building a video personalization product called Adificial. You can check it out at www.adificial.io and I'd love your feedback.
As we build to that platform launch in late Summer, we decided to ship what started out as just a feature. We are calling it Brand builder and it is a simple, free tool that allows anyone to search the brand assets by just plugging in a url. We also build an API so other applications can brand the experience of their user to that user's colors etc. Check it out on our upcoming product page www.producthunt.com/upcoming/adi.... Also love your comments there. Cheers and congrats on the launch!
Iβm an early adopter and I have to say that I saved tons of hours using Recut. An absolute time saverβ€οΈ
The only missing feature is multi video inputs βοΈ
Recut is my absolute favourite! I've been making Youtube videos for a while now, and I spend half of my time editing out the annoying things like silence and breaths between words. This was without a doubt the most valuable $100 I've ever spent.
Super easy to use. Long gone are the days when you had to spend on a full software suite to make quality podcasts/videos. Congrats!
By the way, we're launching our own AI video studio Friday here on Product Hunt, we'd love to have your feedback :)
Hi @dceddia
I recently updated to the latest version of recut. Trying to export a timeline for final cut and the output is bad. the cuts are in the wrong spots. They look right i recut though.
I'm using a wav file as a source if that makes a difference. I can't figure out how to roll back to the previous version.
Any help would be great.
@mattdickeyman Thanks! I've had good luck with using it as a "pre editor", to do a rough-rough cut, and importing the timeline into Final Cut to do the rest. One limitation right now is that it only supports a single track, which I'm aware is a showstopper for a lot of folks, so I'm working on adding support for multiple tracks.
