We’re part of Meta’s internal innovation lab called New Product Experimentation (NPE). 💡 Why we built Recess The flexibility that remote work offers is great. But it also brings its own set of problems. There’s no more chit chat at lunch. No more impromptu coffee runs. Work feels more transactional and it’s harder to forge genuine connections with your teammates. We started Recess to solve this problem — first, for ourselves, and then for others. I love this, I just wish it wasn't in any way connected with Facebook/Meta. Seeing "By clicking Submit, you agree to Meta's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy" once installed and submitting my first response is kind of chilling.

Recess has helped our team get to know about each other more and I feel closer to my teammates now. Seeing answers is something that I look forward to every work day now!

This is not just another API or comm platform, but it’s contextually and provides smarts so you don’t have to. It allows customization, but also out the box, it already covers the bases. They didn’t make something that exists “better”, they made something new “work” and work well. Good luck on PH 🤙
