• The new React site (react.dev) teaches modern React with function components and Hooks. • We’ve included diagrams, illustrations, challenges, and over 600 new interactive examples. • The previous React documentation site has now moved to legacy.reactjs.org.

This is a fantastic resource for any React dev — and it's good to see it getting some love with a new site, a new domain, and a new homepage!

Congrats on the launch! I have been monitoring the progress from a distance, truly motivating work! Appreciate your efforts in enhancing the web experience. I'm glad to see Next.js and Remix being suggested as best practice for production apps.

I loved the new site but truth be told, we all thought react with vite was going to be the new official way to start a react project. Or at least you could have used better tooling to upgrade create react app, like it could use better stuff than being deprecated instead. Meta frameworks like next js are too big and steep to learn for react beginners, I love next js and use it for all my projects but I can't recommend it to beginners. we know vite is from somehow unlikely origins but in spirit of react's growth and open source, you guys could have picked vite or upgraded create react app to better!

The real juicy part is the reference section. All hooks, components and API definitions, examples, practice problems are given in a self learning way. This documentation is fun to read.

I'm already pretty comfortable with React but I decided to read the whole entire thing because It's so well written and I was legitimately having fun reading documentation (and I hate reading docs btw)

Congrats on the launch! I find that React code can become needlessly complex without proper usage of best practices and this resource really helps with that issue. Really like the section ‘Thinking in React’.
