Too often, goal-tracking happens separately from the daily work flow--or not at all. I’ve found the most effective teams connect the dots between goals and day-to-day work. The new Goals feature in Range helps teams do exactly that. It's a lightweight way for teams to (1) stay focused on the goals that matter most and (2) *actually* make progress towards those goals every day, whether meeting live or checking in async. I was excited to invest in Range in 2017, and even more excited today as the team continues to build products and improve the ways we work together.

I'm so proud of our team and the launch pf our Goals feature today! We've heard from so many teams that they hate their big company OKR tool and don't feel like there is a tool designed for them—now there is! With Goals, teams can easily assign and share their goals with one another. But what's different in Range is teams can share progress on goals during their team Check-ins and meetings. By integrating goals into the flow of existing work, it's not only easier to track them but also easier to make progress and actually achieve them. We'd love to hear your feedback as we continue to improve the product.

Most goal-setting tools feel bloated or super distant from the work actually being done. Love how Range is tying the work back to the goals in a simple way.

Congrats on this launch @bhavikabshah! I faced this problem at all my past organizations, getting slacks to update some OKR spreadsheet (which one? is this the latest? oh wait shoot there's a new one?), and that disconnect between OKRs and our workflow tool really created a lack of internalized focus on goals. Excited to adopt this tool in my newco.

I've been setting my long-term goal hashtags as Check-in prompts in Range. Then when I figure out my TODOs each morning, I filter towards those goals so that I'm always making progress on the stuff that actually moves the needle.

Too often teams set goals and don’t look at them again til the end of the quarter. This solves that problem.

I often feel a step removed from big OKRs (or just forget about them), but I love how with Range, I can connect my daily work to high-level goals.

This is a marvelous way to keep the focus on what needs to be done, not just what is urgent and immediate. I've worked at a massive global company where we would set okrs regularly, and revisit or stay accountable for them rarely. Exciting to see Range rethinking this process.

Great work team! 🎉 I'm not particularly a goals-oriented person. In past roles, I've been known to set them, and only pulling them back up 6 months later to review... But with Range Goals, I can share updates on goals where my work already happens (Slack, Range check-ins), without having to remember to pull up another goals/objectives tool.

Connecting daily work routines with long-term goals can be one of the trickiest things for any team to manage. It's easy to let the urgent rule and then have your productivity go fallow when not in crisis mode. What I love about Range Goals is how it invites long term planning & productivity into daily workflows - and encourages accountability to both yourself and your colleagues. Thank you.
