QOA is doing for chocolate, what Oatly did for milk by developing the world's first 100% cocoa-free chocolate. Their chocolate tastes & feels like conventional chocolate but at 10x sustainability. By 2035, QOA will replace chocolate in mass-market products.

Interesting concept. I'd love to give this a try if I get a chance. Thank you, @maximilian_marquart.
Sara Marquart
@maximilian_marquart @yagiz Hopefully you will never go back to conventional chocolate, mainly also due to our taste :-)
This is awesome! Chocolate, even 100% cocoa chocolate tends to upsets my stomach so this seems like a great sustainable alternative to satisfy my cravings. ?makers are the chocolates made of Oats or what are the ingredients? Thanks!
Maximilian Marquart
@gabe__perez Yes, similar to oats!
Anna Ottosson
Just got my QOA Testkit today and would never have guessed it wasn't the real deal; definitely tastes and feels like real chocolate. My parents-in-law who are naturally sceptical to "new technology" were amazed by how good it was. Would happily pay a premium for chocolate without cocoa to be able to keep consuming chocolate but without the negative side effects for the planet and humanity.

@annavottosson So great to hear that you liked the sample!
Ana Caro
As early employee, I already had the chance to try QOA and to my taste, the last prototype is just amazingly delicious! Can't wait to scale this product! And just learning about the incredible amount of water needed for 1kg of cocoa (circa 27.000l, what makes it THE most water consuming plant we eat) convinced me to join Sara and Max on the mission to replace cocoa in mass products!
Conor Naughton
@ana_caro Pretty amazing. I have spent a lot of time with Cacao producers in Guatemala and experimented with coffee cascara as a substitute for making chocolate with delicious results. I hope this is groundbreaking! There are so many environmental and genetic issues and obstacles with cacao (not to mention so much bad chocolate). I am really excited to taste this!
Maximilian Marquart
@ana_caro @conor_naughton Uhh We should talk offline maybe... Sounds very intersting!
Jonathan Fann
@maximilian_marquart, curious if @qoa is more of a "milk chocolate" or "dark chocolate" (or both). Is there dairy in it?
Maximilian Marquart
@qoa @jonathanfann It is both! There is white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate in it.
Robert Stevens
What are the carbs in this product compared to traditional chocolate. Asking as a type 1 diabetic that only occasionally splurges on chocolate due to the carbs.
Sara Marquart
@robert_stevens Currently, speaking for this testkit, pretty much like a conventional chocolate. We are currently working on sugarfree / low GI versions.
Colleen Northcutt
Would love to try for baking, does it melt like chocolate, can you mimic cocoa powder? Of course will just eat it as is :D
Sara Marquart
@northxnorthcutt glad that you asked! Actually we produce also QOA powder (= cocoa powder). So definitely possible to use it for baking! If there are going to be more requests for baking, we might launch that as well individually!
Mudit Thareja
I love chocolates and ready to try this ! Good luck 👍 🍫

@tharejamudit Thank you! We hope you get to taste it soon!
Andrew Gelman
So cool. Just signed up for a kit to try it out. Good luck! Will you be doing non-dairy and non-sugar versions?
Maximilian Marquart
@andrew_gelman1 There will for sure be non-dairy. Non-Sugar soon. Our scientists @sara_marquart are already working heavily on it.
Sara Gepp
THis looks amazing I cannot to try it. Pick MEEEE please
Maximilian Marquart
@closetotheearth Good try Sara. As you have the same name as our CTO, your chances might increase ;-)
Sara Gepp
@maximilian_marquart I was talking about QOA on Linked In Live today https://www.linkedin.com/feed/up...

mmmmmmmm that looks delicious :) I can't wait for the Test Kit :) Congrats on launch!🚀
Maximilian Marquart
@gcucci Thanks Vitalie!!
Hampus Jakobsson
I tested the Q_OA kit last week and seriously this was some of the best chocolate I have had!!
Michael Kaserer
Really looking forward to test this out 👍
Sara Marquart
@mixkas have you signed up already on our page, to get a free kit shipped to your door? :-)

@mixkas Hi Michael, great news – you're one of the winners of our draw! Only thing: Could you try to get us your address by the end of this Monday, i.e. tomorrow? Because we'll be sending out packages mid-week the latest! Just briefly get in touch via info [at] qoacompany.com and we'll go from there! :)
Courtney Ruth
I am so excited to give this a whirl!
Maximilian Marquart
@courtneyruth Did you preregister for one already?
Anu Jayasinghe
This looks amazing! But couldn't find an ingredient list anywhere on your site. Love more sustainable forms of food, but know that sometimes that comes at the detriment of health, so curious about what's in QOA.
Sara Marquart
@anu_jayasinghe we were making the packaging in parallel to finalizing our final formula for the kit. The ingredient list reads pretty much like that of a conventional chocolate, but replace the cocoa with "fermented seeds and nuts".
Dániel Füleki
Interesting... But does QOA give my daily endorphin dose as chocolate does? :)
Maximilian Marquart
@dfuleki Try it out. For me it works :)
Kenn K
I’m excited about the health possibilities. We’ve already moved to plant based products like Silk milk and Impossible Burgers and sausage patties. Does it contain less sugar or other undesirable ingredients? If QOA tastes as good as real chocolate, this will be everywhere! Good luck to you!
Maximilian Marquart
@kenn_k Thanks for your kind words! At the moment it contains a similar amount of sugar than conventional chocolate but we are working heavily on functionalizing it. Try it out and let us know :)
Ken Fricklas
Very curious to try it. What are the nutritional details? Antioxidants? Caloric content? Additives?
Maximilian Marquart
@ken_fricklas1 It is similar to vegan chocolate. No additives, all natural :) We pursue clean label policy.
Danny Blast
That's a big claim, non-chocolate that stands up to real chocolate...can't wait to try it out!
Maximilian Marquart
@dfoster Just try it and you will see :)
James Sun
I signed up to be one of the first to try QOA. It sounds delicious and is so much better for the environment.
Sara Marquart
@jamessun Thanks for signing up!
