🔍 [New feature] You can now search Product Hunt forums
Hi everyone, We've added some basic search functionality to the forums to help you find discussions. You can search forums from the global search, or in the sidebar from anywhere in our forums.
We're interested in your feedback on this feature, as we're going to be iterating on this feature to help make our forums more useful. Let us know what features you want out of search!

One piece of personal feedback on the results display:
Looking at the screenshot below, when I search for a keyword (like "Lovable" here), the feature successfully finds the relevant content. However, visually, my eye is more easily drawn to other highlighted elements (like the @mentions often in color), while the keyword I actually searched for ("Lovable") is only bolded black. This paradoxically makes the key information a bit harder to spot quickly. Perhaps a more prominent highlight for the search term itself?

just tried it and it worked pretty well for me. I like how it’s integrated into the global search.
I tested a couple keywords from past posts and the results were pretty spot-on.
Currently I am unable to understand the use case of searching threads in the forum (other than brand names)

I can imagine reading something interesting, then forgetting about it, only to later realize it is indeed useful to me and using search to go back and find it.
@catt_marroll but this is an edge case, you wont use it every week, its a rare case.

@gamifykaran If there's any topic you are interested in, or if you simply want to explore the conversation that's happening in our forums, we hope that this is a tool that makes it easier for you to explore. But if you just wanted to see the latest conversation that's happening, you can either go to the trending view or the latest comments feed..
@andrew_g_stewart Latest comment feature is super awwesome. I also write about it as well on PH form. One use case that I found for search which can be helpful is to find my own post/comment with few keywords. I love what you and PH team are constantly doing for the community. Thanks for making PH 1% better everyday 🧡

One query, earlier in notification section, we can also upvote & reply to the comment and discussions but now it has been limited to only reply as the we have to click on each notification to tap on upvote option.
