This looks great, something that may be a great fit for me as a PM and our current needs. However, it is kind of expensive, especially for early stage startups. I also don't see any form of a trial period at all or am I missing something?
Martin Matuš
@colinwinhall Hi Colin! We have a 2 week free trial period, you can sign up for one over here: https://app.productboard.com/reg...

Hi makers! 👋☀️ we are incredibly proud to announce a major update of productboard that makes our product management system even better for larger product teams. You can learn everything about it right here: https://www.productboard.com/pb3... For those of you who don't know us yet, we are on a mission to help you make products that matter by giving you the best product management system the world has ever seen. I hope you will notice how much we care about delivering not just a highly functional system, but also a really delightful user experience that connects with you on an emotional level. ❤️ We have already over 1,800 amazing product teams amongst our customers. They are all on the path to product excellence following the practices of the best of the best product makers. Learn more about the approach here https://www.productboard.com/pro... For those of you already familiar with productboard, there is a whole set of features improving the core user experience: - New sub-features give you a more granular way of structuring your feature ideas, - Larger features can now span multiple releases reflecting better the reality of large epics, - Improvements into component aggregation logic and visualizations make it easier than ever to organize your features in the best way, - Prioritization around clear objectives is now at the very core of the productboard experience, - Larger product organizations can create and customize multiple different release groups and create roadmaps of different granularities, - Jira integration got a significant boost and allows for integration with issues of any type, - We introduced access permissions for a variety of feature fields giving you better control over who sees what, - The matrix is now a part of a seamless flow and clearly tied to objectives and effort - The portal is officially out of the early access program and ready for the prime - We made more minor improvements to the overall experience. Several of these features have been in the making for a while as many of them are solutions to some pretty complex design problems stemming from the many-to-many relationships of the real-world entities. I hope you find the latest release valuable. Many of the thousands of product makers and managers have been part of our beta program and I would like to thank you for all the feedback and input you provided. It really is a pleasure and honor to have fellow product makers as customers. We wouldn’t be able to make the product we’ve made without you. Thank you! 🙏 Hubert Founder & CEO at productboard

I like that it's focused on letting you use your own way to gather customer insights, define business goals, and prioritize work.

Pros:

I trialed 5 PM software solutions for a month, and ended up deciding on productboard. It’s a flexible system rather than a process.

Cons:

I'm missing some integrations with some of the tools we use (like HelpScout), but hopefully that's coming too.

Winston
Glad to have you win us Rian! If anyone else needs a Help Scout integration, you can vote for it on our team's Product Portal: https://portal.productboard.com/...
Peter Iliev
Hey, Rian. What are the other 4 softwares you tried?
Peter Steinberger
Awesome! Does it finally work with Mobile Safari? (iPhone/iPad)?
Winston
@steipete Not yet! We haven’t prioritized the mobile experience because we’ve heard from many that they expect to do product prioritization on laptop/desktop. But when it comes to capturing feedback, feature ideas, and some types of planning we get how valuable this could be to do on-the-go. We’ve got your input logged in productboard and will keep you in the loop!

Constantly getting better. Not over bloated with unnecessary features.

Pros:

easy to use, focused, great UI

Cons:

Some of the roadmap reports/export features could be updated even further (and is ongoing).

Winston
Thanks for the note Victor! Our original tagline was "beautiful, simple, powerful product management" and embedded in that are some product principles we still live by.

We loved it from the start. It is effortless to use, to prioritise features, visualise the roadmap, the filtering works super, which makes it easy to go through the backlog and plan the work. Integration with Jira works very well, UI is crystal clear, personalisation of the product is a 4.0. It's very easy to link feedback gathered from the customers with the feature that it relates to. A portal is a place for your clients to see what is planned & what is being done as well as them making features request.. We are continiuosly in love with it. A weak point of the product is the commenting and discussion part. It's a bit hard to respond to a particular message, it would be nice to have some treads, and quick responses (emoji) since we decided to take the whole discussion regarding product decisions out of Jira. What would make this product perfect for me, is the possibility to assign and set the due date for the features - this would allow us to see where the team is weak and where it is strong. Nevertheless we've been using it for about three months now, and so far, it was the best decision we've made to stick with the product.

Pros:

Effortless, prioritising features, visualising, filtering, which makes it easy to plan the work. Integration with Jira, UI, personalisation

Cons:

commenting and discussion part: respond to a message

Winston
Anna, glad to hear things have so gone well for you in productboard! 🌟Hearing design praise from a product designer like yourself means a lot. Thanks as well for the specific feedback. I'm logging it in our team's productboard right now. What started out as a solution for product managers has become something greater as more folks from across the organization get involved. We realize if productboard is being treated as a hub for all things product we'll need to double back on improving existing collaboration/discussion functionality. We're also considering "due dates" in conjunction with ideas like this one: https://portal.productboard.com/...

We're humbled to have thousands of amazing product teams amongst our customers. They are all on the path to product excellence following the practices of the best of the best product makers. We would not be able to do it without you and your continuous feedback. Thank you.

Responsive team, super easy to use product!

Pros:

Has helped us plan, communicate and capture valuable insights as well as prioritize with clarity against multiple sectors and regions,

Cons:

No alternative could touch PB. Only thing I would love is a way to better plan the actual workload across my 9 sprint teams.

Winston
Neil, thanks for sharing! I hope the new release groups will help address your planning needs. You can use these to create groups of sprints in addition to groups of releases and manage them for different teams within the same productboard project. More on that here: https://portal.productboard.com/...
Aaron Swenson
We love PB. I like that all our product feedback can be aggregated. We no longer lose valuable information to emails and word docs on our public drives.
Winston
@aaron_swenson Back in the day product management tools were often associated with roadmapping or dev planning. It’s interesting to see that consolidating user insights from colleagues and customers is the top need a lot of product teams have today... Glad to hear productboard has helped your team!
Adam Taylor
Productboard holds a spot in my heart only shared by AirTable. Thanks for a great tool and best of luck to you and your team Hubert!

@adamt19 Thank you Adam! We’re honored to serve the MeetMindful team.

Awesome job, guys! We had to pause our account due to circumstances, but we'll get back to using productboard as soon we can. It was definitely one of my most favorite tools in our toolset :)
Winston
@martianboss Looking forward to your return, Martin!
