Looks like a great and needed service, @rafizik can you elaborate how you match PMs for a mock interview?
Rafi Zikavashvili
@bouazizalex we take into account few factors when we match you with another PM, such as your level of preparedness, practicing needs, location (to minimize video/audio latency) and years of experience. It's all about maximizing your learning and providing you with the best peer to help you ace your PM interview.

Finally! Dedicated service for mock PM interview. Looking forward to checking it out. What kind of Product interviews do you offer? (Product design, strategy, metrics/execution, estimations, behavioral)
Rafi Zikavashvili
@dglbr Thanks David, much appreciate the kind words! At this it's a product case study and behavioral interviews. We'll be supporting the other types you mentioned soon enough!

Looks useful, I see a lot of "can someone help me practice" type of questions in various online product groups I'm part of. If the product is truly free, I'm curious how you're covering operational costs?
Rafi Zikavashvili
@katiemccann Thank you Katie. Yes, the product is 100%. No cross-promotions, no ads or anything of that sort. Simply free. We're a venture-backed startup and our goal at this point is grow as fast as possible.

Hope to see recruiters using Pramp for interviews in the future.
Matan Goldschmiedt
@zivlautman Pramp is definitely up for the task! In fact, recruiters can already invite candidates to practice on Pramp, both engineers and PMs, using our Practice with a Friend feature!

Amazing to see how the team transitioned from job interview practice for developer into other areas such as product management

Pros:

Solve a long standing unmet need. Easy to use and free.

Cons:

Would love to see more interview types supported

Congrats in the launch @rafizkv , great expansion from coding interviews practice to product management. I wish i had this service when starting my product management career...back in the day
Rafi Zikavashvili
@ilankasan same here. I wish a service like Pramp had existed when I first found my way into product management. It would have helped me avoid quite a few botched PM interviews.
Jonathan Friedman
This is very useful. Practicing interviews has always been a pain. Usually people would book interviews at companies they weren’t interested in just to practice. What can we expect next for the PM track?
Matan Goldschmiedt
@basez99 we have some exciting stuff coming up, starting with more interview types (analytics, UX, data) and going beyond interview preparation to other peer-to-peer collaborative needs.
Jonathan Friedman

How else can you come prepared to interviews without practicing? How many friends can you ping to mock intervie you?

Pros:

Practice makes perfect. Mock real interviews with peers based on real questions for free.

Cons:

Hopefully more interview types will be added soon (analytics, design, technical, assement etc.

based on the dev track it probably would.

I used Pramp to prepare for my first engineering job. Looking forward to use the product manager service when i tradition to product management! I hope you will have a CEO module one day :-)
Rafi Zikavashvili
Thank you @datarade for the hunt! Hi all! A co-maker of Pramp here. After helping tens of thousands of engineers ace coding interviews and get the job they deserve, it was only natural that we expand into product management. In certain ways, the product manager interview is harder than the coding interview since the latter is less structured and certainly less standardized than the former. PM roles also tend to be more competitive than engineering ones simply because the supply is much smaller - there's 1 PM for every 10-15 Developers. Practicing on Pramp will help you get an edge over the competition. There's no magic here. The best way to prepare for an interview is by working through questions and simulating the interview experience. Happy to answer any questions you may have.
Peter Park
This is great; I love that this helps with your interviewing skills, not just as an interviewee but as an interviewer.
Rafi Zikavashvili
@peter_park thanks Peter. Appreciate the kind words. It's true. You learn many time more from interviewing others than from being interviewed.
Yael Gavish
I wish this product existed when I started my product management career. I'm seen so many product managers stumble in interviews because they're never had to articulate their thought process coherently to another person on a product they haven't seen before, and Pramp solves this problem.
Rafi Zikavashvili
@uniqueyael Thanks Yael. That's exactly right. PMs are expected to be exceptional communicator and if you can't showcase that in an interview, you're unlikely to pass it. Practicing is the only way to improve on that.

Been a fan of Pramps coding interview!!! I’m glad they have one for product managers! Wished there was somthing like this for designers!

Pros:

Great Mock interview!!!

Cons:

Wished there was a feature for UX , UI or any designer.

Ron Steinherz
Congrats on expanding to PM interviews @rafizkv ! Definitely serving here an unmet need - you can be a great product manager but that doesn't mean you know how to ace the interview process, and of course this holds true to newbies. Reading interview prep books is one thing but getting real time prep with a peer provides so much more value. Kudos!
Rafi Zikavashvili
@rsteinhe Thank you Ron. Totally agree. Reading from books is hardly sufficient. In order to ace the PM interview, one needs to do as many mock interview as one can.
